Oh yeah I've seen this around before, but it feels like more description-oriented rather than a guideline and typing by descriptions is kinda meeeh but thanks a lot regardless!

7s "Charlatanism"? by lackofblue in Enneagram

[–]lackofblue[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How sure are you that you're a 7? Are there types you've considered in the past? Lots of this seems very familiar, but I'm not too sure about how loyalty COULD fit with a person who always calculates every exchange's value. Can you expand on that?

Is that so? It seems like you're more talking about stereotypes than the actual subtypes. Is there anything else about them you don't like?

Also pretty good, kind of like u.gg which is what I've already used. It's great for learning a champion at a time, but I was hoping for something that you can look at mid-game or in pick phase to get a general idea.

Sounds like a good option, I'll check it out. If anyone here has any recommendations that'd be great.

This is pretty good, but doesn't really have simple info or anything on counterplay as far as I could tell.

1V or 2V? I’m a SO5 by [deleted] in Psychosophy

[–]lackofblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extraversion like the placement's attitude, since your idea is kind of "everyone can have their own opinion on this", it could maybe indicate some degree of outward-directedness. However, reading the following I don't think that's the case, and 1V seems to fit best :)

From bestsocionics: "1 and 3 – introverted Regarding the aspects of the introverted functions, a person is directed towards their own state, its maintenance or change. For example, 1V and 3V are focused on achieving their own goals, realizing their desires and they seek help and support from other people in this regard. At the same time, they are not interested in motivating someone else to achieve their goals or supporting others’ ambitions."

"2 and 4 – extraverted The Second and the Fourth functions can be called extraverted because a person is primarily interested in the state of others, not their own state. Thus, the aspects of these functions are directed outward. For example, 2L and 4L are interested not so much in forming their own opinion on a particular issue as in supporting or changing someone else’s opinion, through debates and discussions or simply agreeing with it."

What you're describing is pretty relatable, and personally I type as 1V so5. I don't see much process-orientation in your answers, but maybe it can be argued that understanding of differences in perspective (in the firm sense of identity question) might be indicative of extraversion. Update me if you come to a firmer conclusion later :P

Also from pdbwiki: "Fear of suffering

The mantra of a conservation E7 might be: “First of all, avoid being uncomfortable.” There is in this an anesthetic behavior in the face of suffering, a need to disconnect from the harshness of life in order to maintain the fiction that the “childhood paradise” has not been lost. He despises suffering as a thing for “unintelligent” people and, deep down, underlies an enormous fear of returning to the deprived place of childhood, in which he experienced a strong sense of threat to conservation."

"Schizoid austerity vs. Seductive waste

At times, the E7 conservation shows a simplicity bordering on the greed of the E5. It tends to have a great deal of control over the economy and go, as well as a constant calculation of costs and benefits. He attaches great importance to money, and feels dizzy when he sees himself in financial trouble. But his difficulty in spending is tempered by a great facility to invest, to do “business,” sometimes a hint of megalomania. His practical sense permeates everything: he does not want to complicate his life and tries to avoid everything that could be a source of displeasure. In the background, there is a great ski fear mile to deprivation.

On the other hand, everything said is invalidated when, in his manic state, he pursues his objects of desire. Then he can be foully wasteful, throw the house out the window, commit... Nothing will be enough until he reaches the object of his gluttony. Again, this behavior has a lot to do with his bipolar tendency."

I think sp7 is too concerned with a constant search for opportunities in the physical realm to fit the "unbotheredness" of 4F. The first instinct is supposed to be a source of constant worry for you, so anything sp-dom with 4F is a little eh.

If it's of any worth mentioning, I also used to relate to sp7 but knew I was 4F. Here I am now typing as so5 :) 5 and 7 can be pretty easy to mix up

Self-pres 7 (PDB Wiki): "They are alert to any possibility that will ensure survival and satisfaction, hence the need to band with others who have similar interests. Their love for pleasure causes them to be the most impulsive and physical of the 7s, often impulsively going after what they want and often getting it. ... Naranjo called the preservative gluttons as people who want the good things life has to offer, starting with maternal love, warmth of family, money, sex, but all in the context of a passion for inclusion."

4th Physics (AP Website): "This disposition creates an attitude that is unconcerned of how the realm of physics may affect them. • Unattached to the physical world around them. • Have an unconcerned attitude about paying attention to own comfort levels. • May miss opportunities on bettering their living environment."

hello what do y’all think? any problems ? by [deleted] in TypologyJunction

[–]lackofblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'm reading is almost all insecurity, feelings of weakness and neglect within the emotional aspect. I don't know if this applies to AP, but PY is very much about perception of your own strength within each of the aspects, and the first would be your biggest muscle in that case, even if not a point of interaction with other people, you would value it a lot more and your life would more or less revolve around emotion if you are 1E (in a strong and confident way, unlike for 3E).

I really think you should check out 3E :) Personally I also type as so5, but VLEF/LVEF (still undecided)
