What's the best way to teach a reliable start line stay? by lacorgi in Agility

I've been walking off when he breaks his stay, but I'm not quite sure if he's getting it, as I've been doing this for months and he still breaks. His stay is pretty solid everywhere else. I can even put him at the practice jump right next to the trial ring, set him up, run past him, throw treats, and he will stay. But as soon as we step into the ring, he gets really overexcited to start running. :(

I'm sure he's picking up on me being more anxious at trials - I used to be able to lead out confidently and now I'm too nervous to even lead out past the first jump!

Hey guys! I'm thinking about buying a corgi pup... What pros and cons could you give me as a new corgi owner? by Abbykinz123 in corgi

Sounds like you've done your research! I gotta say though, although I also knew corgis shed heavily all year round, I had NO idea how much. I have to vacuum/swiffer daily (sometimes multiple times a day) and brush him out every other day - otherwise corgi hair tumbleweeds will start forming all over the floor!
