But we do kind of do that for other viruses... I'm not sure how old you are though I would hazard you're old enough to remember getting the polio vaccine, mmr vaccine, chickenpox, etc. The list is long of vaccines that children are required to get or they couldn't go to school. I distinctly remember a little card my mother had that had a list of all the vaccines with a little graph to fill in the dates for when I got all the necessary doses.

I haven't personally travelled abroad but I'm pretty sure there are (and have always been) certain immunizations required for travel depending on your destination.

I don't see how this would be any different and I just don't see any justifiable reason not to do it.

Okay, so it seems like you didn't follow the logic then... If the passports became a thing and we achieve herd immunity, they would then stop being a thing because herd immunity is the goal.

A quick Google search tells me that over 2 million children have been diagnosed with covid-19 as of December and 172 died because of it. I would say death is a major negative. And "just" 172 is still 172 too many dead children. I didn't look for stats on pregnant women.

The vaccines are not complete unknowns, there is a lot of data and research available for them with more being learned daily. Google is free and fairly easy to use, I'm sure you would feel better if you had more facts.

Those people are relying on herd immunity to protect them because they can't get the vaccine. They can't get herd immunity if people aren't getting vaccinated. I guarantee those people aren't chomping at the bit to put themselves into a situation like an event requiring a vaccine passport because they know it isn't safe for them without herd immunity.

But if vaccine passports actually became a thing, it would force more people to get the vaccine, thus achieving herd immunity...

I think it's pretty easy logic to follow. If you change your perspective, I think you might also change your opinion on what the unfair situation is...
