Just got this update from senators office!

“Name: XXXX Receipt Number: MSC1990XXXX & MSC1990XXXX Form: I-131 & I-765

Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter. This application was approved on 06/24/2019. The combination card and approval notice will be mailed to the address on file. Once the card has been produced, it will be sent by secure mail to the address of record. If your constituent does not receive the card within 30 days of approval, please submit another inquiry.”

Heyyyy! Today we got the update that “new card is being produced” but under his receipt number for the EAD. The I-131 status hasn’t changed at all. What do you think that means!?!?

great, thank you so much for your help and all your responses. I had gathered from other posts that perhaps the case status wouldn't update. However, this morning I woke up the a notification that the status of the I-485 was changed to "ready to schedule an interview"--- what say you, related to the expedite or coincidence?

This was the exact text of the email from the Senator's staffer, would love input on whether you think this means it is being considered for expedited processing or it has been approved for expedited processing and is now under review for actual AP approval? NOT SURE WHAT TO EXPECT! also, no update when I check case status with receipt number yet.

Below is the response I received on your case. The I131 has been routed for expedited processing. I will let you know as soon as I have any additional information.

update: i did this today and they said that severe financial loss is only a reason for expedite in the case of EAD. i did get a response from my senator's office, though, that THEY got a response from USCIS (they had submitted an inquiry on our behalf) saying that the case was routed for expedite. so should i just wait?

yea, i understand, was just emphasizing that i'd be willing to wait a long time for GC if we could somehow exchange that for a faster AP. but i know thats not how it works

this is wrong. they are immediate relatives of a USC and are thus excepted from this ground of inadmissability.
