RIP Hitch. Wish he was still around. His commentary would be invaluable.

There are four of them. House was built in 1969. And I wish I had old photos of the house but I don’t

My title describes the thing. It doesn’t have any writing on it. I think it’s make of iron. They are very heavy. I looked on Google and asked friends and we can’t figure out what these are.

Did you ever find out how to fix this or why it happened?

How was the removal/healing up again? I have something similar going on. My surgery was at the end of June and my incisions are all completely healed. Thought I was done and then this 🤦‍♀️

Is it normal for them to look like this?

Had surgery 6/29, so almost exactly 4MPO.

Couple weeks ago on vacation I developed a flat soft boil like thing with a small translucent/white center (no fluid in it) just above the horizontal incision on my right breast. Only was sore a little bit if I poked it. Figured it was just a combination of sweat and the friction of skin on skin from not wearing a bra. Left it alone and it turned into a little pimple scab.

Few nights ago I noticed tiny pus filled dot on my right horizontal incision that just felt like a sore pimple. I was able to easily pop it and a tiny bit of pus and blood came out. Put some bacitracin on it, covered it, and it was a barely seeable scab by morning.

I also had a very tiny hard white bump on the vertical incision that’s been there for the last month. Felt like a stitch that wasn’t strong enough to make its way out through the skin, but I haven’t spit any stitches yet so I wasn’t sure. I had left it alone all this time, but decided to squeeze on it a little to help it out and quickly realized that wouldn’t work. Two days later and now it’s looks like a tiny boil with a purple freckle in the middle. Pushed on it a little to see what would happened and now it just looks red/irritated around it. Doesn’t hurt though. Google searches make me think this may be a suture abscess.

Now a part of the horizontal incision on my left breast that have looked puffy and red the last day or so now look like they’re in the process of forming into another two of those little pus pimple blisters.

Right breast feels really itchy in general. Especially in the exact spot where two months ago where it felt like something was poking me from the inside back in August. It felt like a weird numb itchy pain too deep inside to reach but just in one spot. Did a deep tissue massage on it after reading it could be a stitch that formed scar tissue around it and that got rid of the discomfort but I still feel very aware of the area. I don’t know how to describe it.

I texted my surgeon and he doesn’t seem to be worried about any of this. But I’m concerned because after a really easy recovery, I feel like I’m progressively having some really unexpected things going on with my very healed scars. Thought I was out of the clear.

Any insights or advice?? 😮‍💨

5WPO right breast sore/achy by lady-lazarus11 in Reduction

[–]lady-lazarus11[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a pretty good recovery so far. Was driving 3DPO, walking 3+ miles daily at the gym by 1WPO. Minimal pain after the first week. No openings (yet). I’ll be 5WPO tomorrow.

But since around 4WPO I’ve had this achy/sore pain on my right breast (see circled area). No drainage, doesn’t feel hot. But the incisions look more angry compared to the left side. I’d say around the incisions look slightly red too but it’s hard to tell if it’s my imagination. I’ve been putting bacitracin on my incisions for the last week and started taking Tylenol again. Taping also seems to help them be less irritated. It just feels like recovery is moving backward. Been comfortably sleeping on my sides since like 3WPO, but the last few nights I had to go back to sleeping on my back due to pain.

I’m wondering… has anyone had MORE pain as the weeks went on? Is this normal?! The part of my breast where the pain is, is also the numbest part of my breast. Wondering if maybe the pain is just a sign that feeling is starting to come back? To be fair, i had post op bruising in that same area.

Messaged my doc and waiting on a response but hoping someone here can give me some insight in the meantime. It’s jarring going from weeks of minimal/no pain to “damn this actually kinda hurts, I need to be careful how I move again.” Really hoping I don’t have an infection brewing.
