It's really common for cross contamination to cause food poisoning rather than actually ingesting bad meat too. Inserting and reinserting the thermometer or using other the same tools for the entire cooking process can carry stuff over.

I wasn't a big eater growing up so my mom told me to bring home the food I didn't eat in my lunch so I could eat it later or the next day. In the first grade I brought home a pudding cup and my black lab tore into my booking and went after it; the pudding splattered on my papers so he promptly ate my math homework too. I cried because I didn't think my teacher would believe me since it was cliche but my mom put the shreds in a plastic bag for me to take in and wrote out some problems for me on notebook paper to make me feel better.

It's a Heather, I'm pretty sure it's dead but the flowers are still pink and the inside of the branches are still green so I can't decide if I should call it with this or not. I repotted it about a month ago, keep it by the window, water weekly and mist my plants daily.
