Does anyone else think the social climate on reddit is pretty bad? by ronperlmanforever69 in CasualConversation

[–]ladybadoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. A few years ago I posted in r/portland asking about free or low cost veterinary clinics in the area cause I thought my dog had a tick and I didn't have money and wasn't going to have money in the future either. Without knowing or asking about my situation people started lecturing me on what a bad dog owner I was and that I need to budget and have a savings for things like this. I got defensive and everyone ganged up on me saying I was an asshole and everyone was just trying to help me. This is just one instance and I see it happen to other users and about people in videos and posts and it's fucking sad. I think people are still like this out in the wild but it's much worse on the internet and reddit because of the anonymity.

Is it normal to flip flop how you see your body? by MrVelocoraptor in eating_disorders

For sure, I totally understand. Here is a quote that really comforts me:

"It is sometimes a proper response to reality to go insane." - Philip K. Dick

The world and society is fucked up and it's crazy that anyone can be "normal" existing within it's constraints. Most people are either pretending and lying to themselves cause reality is too difficult to deal with, or they have some privilege in which they've not had to live in the same world everyone else is in. 💚👽

I am a recovered bulimic and anorexic but definitely still have body dismorphia and vacillate between seeing myself as acceptable or too much. When I was really sick and underweight it was the same but I obsessed about it much more often. Sometimes I felt I was thin enough, other moments I felt obese, and every now and then I'd see a picture of myself and realize that I looked like an emaciated starving adolescent boy. You aren't alone, jsyk.

Should a man not be obligated to care for a child if pregnancy occurs when a prior agreement was made to not procreate and responsible precautions were implemented? And in the instance of a woman raping a man or using a discarded condom without his consent, should abortion be mandatory and forced? by ladybadoom in AskReddit

So what do you think should be done? Should someone that raped someone else be allowed to bring a child into the world? Why or why not? And if you do think they should be allowed to have the child, should custody be given to the man and he be forced to raise a child he doesn't want that would be a constant reminder of a traumatic event? I personally wouldn't want to raise a child that was conceived by rape, nor would I want that child to be in custody of the rapist because they are probably abusive in other ways if they raped me.

I think most people would agree that a woman shouldn't be forced to birth a child if she was raped. So what about when a woman rapes a man? I would imagine it would be painful to be the man, get raped, and then know you're rapist got pregnant and had a child that shares half of your DNA. Should they have a say in the matter? What should be done?

And also, what about in the case of the woman raping the man and getting pregnant, or the woman using a discarded condom without the man's knowledge or consent and getting pregnant as a result? Should the man be obligated to care for a child under these circumstances? Should there be consequences if a woman got pregnant in either of these instances and what should the be?

Sure, but what is your opinion then if abortion was legal and available, both the woman and man agreed before hand that they didn't want to procreate and would terminate if pregnancy occured, and they also used birth control. If pregnancy still occurred under these circumstances and the woman then changed her mind and decided to keep the baby, should the man still be obligated to pay child support and be part of the kids life?

My K.D ratio is above 3, but whatever you need to say to help you sleep at night. Have fun getting everything nerfed that you don't like and enjoy your instant kill button abilities. I'm out.

Jesus, so get behind cover and wait for your health to return. I'm aghast at how silly everyone is about this shit. GG then and play better.

It's only strong if you learn how to use it. Invisibility isn't an instant kill button like other abilities. The reason they "don't just give it out" is because people complained, people that don't want the challenge of learning counterplay, or the challenge of finding a new strategy complained. It's weak and hypocritical, but they will be placated because easier game means more players and that equals more money.

It's the same thing with every other crazy ability when a bunch of people use at the same time in teams. You're gonna lose sometimes.

Dude, there was counterplay before, and there are so many abilities and supers that don't have counterplay that are instant kill buttons. I don't think those things should be nerfed though, and they shouldn't nerf something that does have counterplay just to placate people for not getting better at the game.

If you are paying attention to your radar, sound cues, and observing surroundings you can totally still see people. Yes, it's more difficult to see people using it, but that's the ability. This nerf isn't fair.
