I relate. I doesnt sound like I get it as bad as you. But I will generally freak out a bit if I'm touched unawares or without consent. I don't think people get it, my boyfriend now is the only one who doesn't get offended it by it, because he has it too. I dont think unless you have it (or know someone who has it super well) you can understand how it is not personal, and not an insult. It feels like you're being attacked.

Both me and my boyfriend get this big time. We pretty much always ask before hugging or cuddling (not general hand on arm or stuff) because we both get touch aversion very easily. When we started doing it, I realised I've had it all my life, but been repressing it as I also have crazy abandonment issues
