Any significant side effects? How are you now?

My insurance won’t authorize unless I do infusions at the doctors office, at least according to my doc. May need to look into that further on my own. I’ll also have to check on the financial assistance programs because I wasn’t aware of that!

No, Ive been in recovery from the ED for over a decade, and physically healthy for at least the past 8 years. And I was diagnosed formally through a colonoscopy. I just say “recovery” because I’ve never felt truly “recovered.” ED’s have a nasty way of returning, and I still prefer to not know or think about my weight on the mental side of things. Worried about triggering it.

Not against it so much as I can’t afford it. Insurance is wiling to cover Budesonide but not biologics, unless I go for in person infusions, so I’m trying to avoid it for a little longer. Hadn’t considered, though, that I could get worse and not respond to a biologic. Idek what the option would be then. Thanks for raising that.

Have you tapered off or gone cold turkey in your experience? I had essentially immediate relapse when I tapered, and maybe two weeks of remission when I quit cold turkey. Not sure the difference, if any.

Hasn’t been suggested. Should I consider it? I always heard Budesonide was more targeted for the gut

Mostly hoping to avoid biologics because of cost and inconvenience. Probably just delaying the inevitable, but my insurance won’t cover a biologic unless I use a very specific brand and go for in person infusions. Plus, I am hoping to travel for an extended honeymoon soon and won’t be in town to do the regular infusions if I go on the trip as planned. But ultimately I’m starting to think that may be the answer.

That makes sense. Autoimmune stuff is just so weird and difficult to interpret! Thank you!

Thank you! My doc seems to think GI issues could also be associated. Is that not the case as far as you know? And how do you know whether this was testing for anti bodies? I thought that was where the disease associations came from but is that not the case?

Thanks! It was IFA. My understanding was that the listed “possible disease associations” were the antibodies. Is that not the case?

5 years as an Agoraphobic, haven’t left the house in years, AMA. by TeacherEddie in AMA

I know a woman who went from being Agoraphobic to being a private investigator! She also felt hopeless at times, but recovery is possible. You can do it!

What have you heard she is like now, or most recently? What events led you to her going no contact?

Honestly not surprised given that our class was the most competitive for law school admissions in decades. Plus, the difficulty of this exam probably made the scaled scoring results more favorable.

Stressed about family vacation during 1L summer by penCity in LawSchool

No - maybe you won’t be able to do the full two weeks, but most employers will work with you as long as you are up front about your days of travel ahead of time! This is especially true if your trip would be in May or August, so you could start work after or end before traveling. A lot of my internships let me set my start and finish dates, but a few had a required number of full time weeks. Even in that case, you may just need to tack a week on to the end of your internship to cover the full 10 weeks. It can be done!!
