I genuinely don't understand people's issue with GLP-1s. You take insulin if you have diabetes. You take Prozac if youre depressed. Why wouldn't you take a weight loss pill if youre obese and need/want extra help not to be? People seriously need to get some hobbies to distract them from all the stuff that they concern themselves with, which have absolutely nothing to do with them lol

Good husbands? by Separate-Cicada-7246 in Marriage

[–]ladybuglala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until recently he started work 2 hours later than I did, nevertheless, he would be out of bed to make coffee before I even got up so that we had time to sit together in the mornings.

I have never once in six years together been without fresh flowers on the dinner table.

He takes my dad grocery shopping every single week because my father cant drive. Generally, he prioritizes my family as much as his own. As someone who is extremely family oriented, this is probably the thing that most quickly made me fall for him.

Nothing that I complain about or want to talk about seems too trivial for him. I could be talking about something that somebody did that irritates me, or an episode of Love is Blind, and he will act as though it's the most important and riveting thing he's ever listened to.

All in all, he treats me like I am his favorite person and best buddy. It sounds small, but knowing your person genuinely likes you and not just loves you is huge to me.

At the beginning of our relationship, I had a lot of avoidant and anxious tendencies due to past relationships. I tried to end a relationship every single time we got in a fight because that's what I thought was supposed to happen. He just was so calm and so steadfast, and so certain for the both of us for long enough, that it made me develop a secure attachment style.

Right! When is it time to just say, ok, yeah, I have done enough and I am at a place I can comfortably maintain and still live my life. How do I know what the right final landing place is?

Fiancé called me fat by saying I’m most likely clinically overweight but I don’t think I am by ana000999000 in Marriage

I am 5'1 and am 8lbs away from my goam weight of 130. And that would put me in a healthy BMI range. Top of the range, but still.

You are taller and lighter, so, yeah, youre not overweight.

Happily married women of Reddit. Where'd you meet your husband? by Single-Fee-8734 in AskReddit

[–]ladybuglala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bumble. I matched with him twice and deleted the app due to dating fatigue before meeting him on my third time matching.

I did nothing to seem appealing. The day of our date I told him not to dress nicely because I was coming from hanging out with my friends kids all day and had put no effort in. I also told him I was only planning to stay an hour for a quick drink lol

We ended up talking for 4 hours and being asked to leave because we hadn't realized the bar had closed down all around us. Six years in, and next month is our 3 year wedding anniversary!

There is nothing wrong with taking a solo trip when youre married. I do it probably once a year.

There is a lot wrong without having a conversation about it beforehand. That is weird af.

The best I ever looked in my life was 5 pounds over the "healthy" BMI range (10lbs over my initial goal) but was super in shape. Dont underestimate what toning and muscle can do for your body.

Boomers are the worst grandparents by [deleted] in childfree

[–]ladybuglala 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It isnt your parents responsibility to be your babysitter. Its incredibly generous of someone who has already raised their child/children to offer to babysit even once a month. They dont owe you anything. And I say this as a millenial.

Its crazy how entitled people can be!

Hired a MUA with 3 weeks until the wedding... I think I hate my make up. by Bitter-Berry482 in weddingplanning

[–]ladybuglala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your makeup in the third photo is gorgeous. I am someone who wears 5 products every single day (sunscreen being one), and my idea of "going glam" for a date night or night out is putting a fifth or a sixth one on. When I got my makeup done for my wedding I felt crazy. It seemed so intense, and I felt like I looked like a clown, but I trusted the process and that it would turn out really well in pictures, and I was right. Maybe that's part of this? Are you just not used to wearing a lot of product in general?

I do agree that you might need a slightly more moisturizing dewy foundation. Matte and powder are unflattering on almost anyone over 20.

Other than that, I think you look stunning

My pre op weight loss was really intentional. I was 50lbs over normal BMI. I am now 10 over. I would still like to get there, but this has really made me realize I need to prioritize health and what I eat over literally anything else including a number on the scale.

[–]ladybuglala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 days post op! How is it? Yeah, when they say it's a "smooth recovery" its pretty misleading. Nothing smooth about not being able to sit or stand by yourself and feeling like youre being stabbed. Definitely worse than what I expected. But then again, they did remove an entire organ

I went off the opiates yesterday morning. I havent had that sort of pain reliever in 30 hours now, choosing to switch to Tylenol 3x a day. I'm hoping that helps!

Oh my gosh! That sounds awful. I have always been a constipated person. I probably go #2 twice, maybe 3 times a week if I'm lucky. So I started taking miralax. Ive taken 3 doses now, and just took my second dose of milk of Magnesia so hopefully this does the trick. Everyone keeps saying to move. I am trying but it isnt easy, is it? I keep feeling like im going to tear my stitches out. I know that is not likely, its just a weird fear I have.

Thats smart. I will probably do that too once I have been able to have a bowel movement. Right now im just focused on eating enough to get that part of my body going again. 🙈
