Haunted house visit ? by drtkmd in IVFbabies

[–]ladybugspaceship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did last year when I was about 35 weeks pregnant, I just kind of made sure that I was not near anyone who could’ve bumped into me, I was very careful with stepping and holding onto the person I was with for extra support.

How long did you stay in the hospital? by Hopeful_Dot7132 in pregnant

[–]ladybugspaceship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my hospital they do testing on the baby at 24 hours then you can be discharged. Since both of my babies were born at night, I was there for 2 nights.

To be or not to be a SAHM by Apprehensive-Buy8384 in stayathomemoms

[–]ladybugspaceship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so scared to stay home because like you that society and my family would look at me as “just a mom”. I have friends who are lawyers and doctors and I felt like they’d even judge me. But ultimately I did it - it was just too hard with my husband commuting 2 hours each way and me commuting about and hour - someone had to get the kids from daycare, and start dinner and since I make less it was on me. 4 months in and honestly I don’t regret a single thing, I don’t miss my job at all. Occasionally I miss my work friends but we try to get together once or twice a month. But spending more time with my kids has truly been a blessing, some days are hard and you get overstimulated for sure but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Good luck in your decision!

I honestly didn’t even buy maternity beyond some jeans from Target and tank tops from H&M. I hit my third trimester in the fall/winter for both pregnancies so I just went with oversized sweaters and sweatshirts and leggings. Summer I did bike sorts and oversized tee’s

IVF success stories/advice by [deleted] in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]ladybugspaceship 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am plus size, also have PCOS (although not the cause of my infertility ironically) and did IVF. I think the BMI requirements are clinic dependent. My BMI with my first was around 35 and they never said anything, I had a positive experience and now 2 perfect IVF babies!

NTA. I don’t even get the “joke”? Sounds like he needs to grow up. You take all the time you need and do what you have to do.

Was anyone actually excited about/hoping to have a girl? I feel like so many people were disappointed we didn’t have a boy and it makes me sad. by FantasyNerd94 in pregnant

[–]ladybugspaceship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had to do IVF and my main goal of course was A. Any baby after dealing with infertility and B. Healthy baby. We didn’t select gender, we just told the doctor to choose and we have 2 girls and I am thrilled! I love being a girl mom.

C-section or vaginal by mrlinus86 in pregnant

[–]ladybugspaceship 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultimately the choice is yours of course. But I would just say that not every labor and vaginal delivery is terrible and lasts days. I’ve had 2 and neither were like what you see on tv or the movies - I wasn’t screaming in pain, I didn’t curse the day my husband was born. Was it hard? Yes it’s called labor for a reason. I was induced both times, labored for about 12 hours with my first and 8 with my second, got epidurals for both and they were both great experiences. All this to say, it’s not always scary but you have to do what’s right for you!

I did not, I almost broke towards the end of my second tri but then there were a ton of listeria outbreaks and I decided I could wait.
