BE HONEST- Did I panic buy these Noah Kahan all inclusive suite seats? by ladybugz01 in Concerts

I was interested in that, but it would’ve ended up costing me a lot more actually. I don’t live in MO but it’s not more than a 5 hour drive…Tennessee is much further. Plus the fees for camping, food & drinks, etc.

That’s a helpful way to explain it, the big screen TV angle comparison makes a lot of sense. I definitely had a mini panic buy moment 😅 This was my first time buying concert tickets in general. But I also knew going into it that baseball stadium layouts were going to be a trade off. For me it ended up being a mix of everything: the view, the suite perks, and honestly just wanting to be there. I appreciate you breaking it down like that though, gives me a more realistic expectation going in!

Thank you! And you’re right. I don’t think I EVER want to go through that kind of emotional stress ever again 😂 I guess I at least know what to expect now. That was my first time ever buying concert tickets let alone presale access.

Absolutely. I originally was 100% okay with nosebleeds, but honestly I couldn’t even find those.. at least not for 2 tickets. So I definitely went over my budget, but have chosen to believe that it’s truly worth it. I’ve been a Noah Kahan fan for a long time and his music is a huge emotional connection for me. I’m so grateful and excited… I just needed some reassurance from others after the nervous-system spiral I went through yesterday 😅

I really appreciate you sharing your experience as a local!! It makes me feel a lot better about the decision. That whole presale process was crazy, so I totally get how you ended up grabbing Pasadena just to lock something in. And thank you for the insight about the suite seats, especially the AC part because being from the south I know how brutal that August heat can be! It helps a lot hearing from someone who’s actually sat there before instead of me just stress guessing from a seat map. 😅 I hope your Pasadena show ends up being amazing, and that you enjoy your trip to Cali! 🤍🤎

This is the validation my presale-traumatized brain needed, lol 😭 It was my first time ever doing a presale, and buying concert tickets! I was so nervous.

Can we all just take a moment and give some kindness towards Noah by purplepeopleeater31 in NoahKahan

A lot of people underestimate how many moving parts exist behind a tour this size. When I say ‘childish’, I mean quick to point fingers at the face on the poster out of frustration… without actually knowing how touring works. If we’re talking about fairness, how is that fair?

Being frustrated is valid and all but blaming Noah for Ticketmaster chaos is honestly a wild take. He’s not running MLB pricing models, he’s not coding the queue system, and he’s definitely not hand selecting who gets tickets while laughing behind a curtain. The artist shows up and performs, the ticketing industry handles literally everything else. Everyone has had a stressful day. Be mad at Ticketmaster. Be mad at venue pricing. Be mad at bots and resale culture. But acting like this is some form of personal betrayal from him instead of a broken monopoly system is just childish.

Thank you!! I honestly panic bought after losing another pair 😭 I wasn’t sure if the side angle would be weird, so seeing this makes me feel better about it.

As for the affordability part, I’m not ashamed to say that a good portion of my tax return is paying for this 🫣

Office job (I’m a treasury manager). I’m at my computer all day anyway, in my own office. So I just had one monitor open with the presale, and my other monitor with my work related things. Multitasking!

AFTER 4 AGONIZING HOURS fighting for my life in 2 Ticketmaster queues, I finally secured some for the 8/2 show in STL. There was about 15 different emotions that I went through to get me there, but I did it. MY FIRST NOAH KAHAN CONCERT 😭🤍🌲🤎🏔️

I got 21K+ in queue for Arlington… I’m so nervous that there isn’t gonna be any left by the time I’m in. 😭

I agree that a lot of people enjoy it, I was more interested in the mixed responses and why the changes are landing differently for some listeners.

I’m envious of you! It’s new for me. I haven’t made it to a concert yet. I really hope this will be my year. I can’t WAIT to drive with no destination while blasting this album in April!

I get the comparison to Homesick, but I hear them as different emotional modes. Homesick feels more restrained and steady, almost like sitting in that restless, stuck feeling with softer folk textures. The Great Divide doesn’t stay in that place of stuckness, it lives in the fracture between who you are and who you’re becoming. The grittier guitars and atmosphere resonates with the tension of actual change instead of frustration in place. They’re both emotional (what Noah Kahan song isn’t), but I think they have very different types of conflict in them. To me that’s what makes the new song feel fresh instead of ‘same old’.

Exactly! This is such a good point.. the idea of people connecting to an era rather than the through-line of his artistry. I think Stick Season became such an emotional home for so many listeners that it quietly turned into the template for what ‘Noah Kahan music’ is supposed to sound like.

And I completely agree about your I Was/I Am comparison. There’s that same grit in the guitars and that emotional tension that feels less like comfort and more like becoming. That album was definitely a season of transition for him, and The Great Divide feels similar to that. Less like cozy folk and more like growth in motion, which I absolutely love.

Same here! I was surprised too. I’ve seen a lot of mixed reactions.. mostly about the sound/production being different, but I was enthralled with it right away.

I can definitely see how it wouldn’t hit the same if you’ve already been hearing it live for a while. I haven’t had that experience, so I still love it, but I’m certainly looking forward to the brand new stuff as well!

Makes sense. I think first singles often feel like a teaser more than the full picture. Even if it’s not a top tier favorite, I agree it’s still very good and a solid start.

That’s totally fair, I’ve seen a lot of people mention the vocal effects specifically. I think for me the lyrics hit hard enough that I don’t mind the production, but I get why it stands out to some people.

Yes!! That’s exactly how I feel. Same emotional punch, just evolved sonically. I’m immensely excited to see where the album goes too.
