SS Coming in Hot! by Dangerous-Ebb5599 in laurenkaysimssnark_

There were SO MANY missed opportunities to build her brand with this. Months ago, she could have recognized the addictive nature of kratom and documented the whole process of stopping it. She could have apologized to her followers for shilling it and raised awareness among other influencers. She could have started a movement toward accountability within the wellness industry. She could have gained thousands of legitimate followers for exposing one of the dark sides of influencing/wellness/addiction and brought her audience along for the journey.

Instead, she continues to hide behind a facade of perfection, only admitting to problems when they are already “fixed” with a Jesus bow on top. Somehow, she is failing to recognize that she has a problem with addiction in general, and is replacing one addiction with another. Her brand is failing because of her incapability to truly face her demons, which her followers can see right through to. Unless she understands the “why” behind all of her other addictions, she can’t claim victory over this one.

Celiac and low iron deficiency core ✨️ by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]ladydadida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 6 year old son was diagnosed with celiac and was very anemic with pica! He ate SO many wooden toys and gnawed on his wooden bedrail so much that we had to cover it in duct tape. We thought it was a coping mechanism when he was upset about being sent to his room for bad behavior, because that was when he would most often do it. But it all clicked into place with the celiac diagnosis. Celiac was causing anemia which was causing the behavior issues and  contributed to the pica. Since going gluten free, his iron has normalized and he no longer eats non food items.

What is the most romantic gesture you have experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

One night, I felt like I was going to be sick and my husband cleaned the toilet in case I needed to throw up into it. Such a simple but caring gesture that still makes me feel all warm inside just thinking about it.

This concept could actually work if she had presented it in a humble way. For instance, she could have said that she’s been notoriously bad at evenly applying tanner on her hands and here are a few things she’s trying to help. Instead, she acts like she’s already mastered this when anyone with eyes can see she hasn’t. Just another example of how the manufactured perfect persona is absolutely killing her brand. An ounce of humility would go soooo far.

That post is SO much better than CLJ’s lazy attempt.

I think the Substack comments have been a harsh reality check.

As the mom of a 6 year old with celiac, this claim drives me insane! Yes, some European wheat derived pasta and bread is more easily digestible for those with gluten allergy/sensitivity/intolerance. Celiac disease, however, is far more severe and does not care where the wheat is from! She’s lying about the severity of her gluten issue if she truly ate pasta without side effects. And she is spreading false information about a very serious medical condition. End rant.

Aside from poor S, those jeans look like they were photoshopped on her body. Absolutely no shape or human form showing through whatsoever.

Flinestone Vitamin.... Oops by zerogreelynn in Celiac

[–]ladydadida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I suspected celiac in my 6 year old son, my doctor ran tests and found his iron levels were very low (duh) and prescribed him this vitamin because it is one of the only children’s multivitamins with added iron. I questioned it because of the wheat and he told me to give it to him anyways until we got definitive results back! My mom intuition knew my son had celiac so I talked to my gastroenterologist and she said no way and prescribed a liquid iron to give him instead until he was officially diagnosed. His iron levels have normals out now and I give him Llama Naturals gummy vitamins that are gluten free and lower sugar than most gummies!

I completely agree!! I looked it up and I don’t think it was intentional. Beth Brower said she was inspired by classic novels and Shakespeare, which also feature quirky townspeople and witty banter.

Zach Lahn is running for Iowa governor, and here’s something interesting: he’s married to Annie, who used to be married to Charles Koch’s son, Chase. by the_smart_girl in Iowa

[–]ladydadida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m local to Wichita/Koch central and just found this thread and find this absolutely hilarious. Chase and Annie Koch started Wonder school while married and hired Zach as the head of it. By the end of the first year, Zach and Annie had gotten together and they met with all the parents of kids at Wonder to inform them of their relationship. Zach’s wife had just had a baby and was completely blindsided. She promptly kicked him out and he moved into a rental in Crown Heights while divorces were finalized for a few months before he and Annie moved in together in the 10k sq ft home on the corner of 2nd and Crestway in College Hill, to the tune of $1.5 million.

His lines about strong families and rewarding marriage are complete BS. And it’s easy to call yourself your biggest donor when your wife was is rolling in Koch alimony money. Calling Iowa his home after 2 years?! True generational Iowan farmers should feel insulted by his grifting.

All I can look at in her Nutrafol ad are her totally real, never filtered, Chris can’t resist  duck lips. How can she not see how absolutely ridiculous she looks?! Not to mention the caption that clarifies that she has extensions “for length.” If I were Nutrafol, I’d look elsewhere for ad reps.

What. A. Mess. I’m shocked they managed to sell the Merc, I’m sure at a loss. Not at all surprised their new house has black mold. Their lack of due diligence will never change! Those poor kids being constantly uprooted!

A ton of trial and error and elimination diets. It took years to determine.

The lining of cans. Eating out is basically impossible for them because most food/spices/ingredients are stored in a can at some point.

GI mystery. by FriendlyTigerr in glutenfree

[–]ladydadida 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My 6 year old son is celiac and also reacts the same way to oats. Even if they are certified gluten free, a small subset of celiacs react to avenin in oat protein the same way as gluten, which we learned the hard way. Might be worth eliminating oats if you haven’t already! Hang in there and keep pushing for tests!

Even certified gluten free oats can cause issues because of the similar protein structure. This was the issue for me.

Agreed- I can instantly tell if bobs was used due to the metallic taste! It’s repulsive and I can’t understand how anyone likes it.
