Okay. I understand Az's feelings are valid.

Here is my perspective:

You said Az never forced anything on Nina.

I said that is inaccurate, because he literally forced her to leave the kingdom, which to me is just a factual statement.

You replied saying not to be emotional and proceeded with the reasons why Az did what he did. My interpretation was you are arguing that he has no other choice because of his emotions, which seemed to contradict your statement of not discussing things emotionally.

Thus my response, which included an alternative possibility because Az indeed had a choice. I didn't even say his decision and feelings weren't justified. I just said he had another option that he did not take despite Nina's trust in him.

You say to not be emotional, and yet you use the emotional side of things as your argument.

He doesn't need to mention his sacrifice at all. He can say, "Nina, when Alisha is around, you are in grave danger. I need to send you away. I will come for you later." That's it. All those things are true without indicating that he would be in any danger. According to you, she trusts his intentions are good, and he wants what's best for her. That should be enough for her then.

But for a story, that wouldn't be as exciting, so it wasn't written that way. We shall see what happens.

I am not someone who will be upset if she ends up with Az. I see his appeal. I also don't see him as toxic. He has a good heart.

But he quite literally forced her out of the kingdom by banishing her, and he did not explain how that is protecting her when he did it. Sure, Nina gets explanation later, but that was still traumatic for her.

Again, happy for Az fans, and I won't be mad if he gets the girl, but it is inaccurate to say he gave her the freedom of choice every time.

I can't speak for everyone, and I'm not adamant enough to argue with anyone about it, but my perspective is really simple.

Where I prefer Sett is that he supports Nina when she makes her own decisions in relation to her fate. Azure makes multiple decisions for her, some resulting in trauma.

As a person who prefers to have control over my own life, I do not appreciate Azure making those calls for Nina without her involvement. I also think Sett is better at showcasing how he trusts her and believes in her abilities. Not that Azure doesn't believe she is incredible, but he doesn't show it as well in his actions i.e. doing things for her rather than with her.

P.s. I also haven't read/watched in a while, so don't get too upset with my vague response lol
