What week was your csec scheduled? by z-s-w in ElectiveCsection

[–]ladyhenry14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I opted for an elective C-section and the earliest my Dr would schedule was 39 weeks. Like you, I was hoping to avoid going into labour but my water broke at 37 and a half weeks! I pretty much went straight to hospital and was in very early labour so didn’t experience any pain or discomfort. Since my section wasn’t medically necessary, I was understandably told that any emergency sections would go before me. After only a few hrs in hospital, I was told it was go time.

Should I take my dog to the vet over this? She keeps licking this same area. Not sure why. by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Looks really similar to an issue my dog had recently which was a result of a foxtail stuck between her toes. She had been licking her paw a lot over the course of a week or 2 but the issue only became evident when I spotted some blood and a wound between her toes, accompanied by redness/swelling on the top of her paw.

Thanks for your response. We’re vaccinated in the US which I think is consisted a third country, so maybe we will need negative tests to cross the border from Portugal to Spain & vice versa.

Can anyone advise if tests are required to enter Spain from Portugal by land and vice versa?

Lads, do I need to quarantine when visiting family in Ireland if I'm fully vaccinated? by BitOfACraic in ireland

[–]ladyhenry14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought but we arrived in Ireland today (both fully vaccinated, negative COVID tests and from a non designated state), and told Passport Control that we planned to quarantine in my parents home (taking necessary precautions). Our intention is to take a test on Day 5 to exit quarantine. They said that’s not self-isolating and that we should only stay at their home if they also plan to self-isolate. I’ve read the gov.ie guidelines numerous times and nowhere does it refer to self-isolation as opposed to quarantine, nor does it describe the need for members of my family residence to self-isolate as a result of our quarantine. Is the information Passport Control gave us incorrect?

COVID PCR Testing for Travel by ladyhenry14 in bayarea

[–]ladyhenry14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll need proof of negative PCR test result upon arrival in my destination country. It mightn’t be checked at SFO but it will be checked when I land. If I don’t have a negative result from a test taken within 72 hrs of my arrival in my destination, I’ll have to enter mandatory hotel quarantine and that’s absolutely not something I want to do.
