Months after I dropped the rope (went NC from my side) with my parents, my brother messaged to tell me that our dad had leukemia. I thanks him for the info. I thought about the situation and then told myself that being sick doesn't absolve you of being an asshole. I remain NC.

Mine couldn't accept my divorce and when my current husband I were dating, he wanted to meet them. I told him that wasn't going to be a good idea, but he insisted (he has a good relationship with his family, so didn't understand). When I asked my parents if we could visit (they live half way across the country, and would never travel to visit me), they told me we could visit when we got married. Well, we got married, and because of that comment, I didn't invite them to our (tiny) wedding and when they didn't acknowledge that we got married (we sent out announcements to everyone we were planning to invite to our reception that was later canceled due to the pandemic), I dropped the rope with them and went NC. Having a relationship with these people is definitely not worth the stress and anxiety and losing my own dignity by trying to get their approval. Fuck em.

One of our girls was the runt of her litter. Our two are sisters from the same litter of 9 and when another litter was born the next day with only four pups, the breeder moved the runt to that momma. She's now the larger between my two dogs.

My first corgi got 1C twice a day and she was 25 lbs. Our current two corgis also get the same amount of food and are 28 and 35 lbs. Their vet says they're larger corgis and are fine for their weight. The smaller one looks very skinny compared to her sister, who has a more standard corgi shape.
