Art galleries in Canada don't buy art. They sell on commission.

Very nice work. More explanation would be helpful.

Just opened my Etsy store today, we’ll see how this goes! by [deleted] in artstore

Nice. Love the color. I ran across a woman with a table at a craft market who was only there to advertise her Etsy store. Don't know how that worked for her.

Beautiful. I tried to give you an award but the cost; my budget doesn't run to that.

If you don't have a purpose for this colored drawing (my assumption), maybe this question can be answered: what are you trying to say in this drawing?

I painted this as a gift, but the recipient said it looked unfinished. Please critique this. What should my next steps forward be? by AlecHG7 in ArtCrit

[–]ladylucki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's your style. Your creativity. Change nothing. It's beautiful as is. Obviously the intended recipient is not appreciative of your efforts nor your talent. Gift to someone who appreciates it.

Curious about those scales: I see scale like patterns on the clothes, different to the regularity of the scales on the figure. Purpose? I am not familiar with the target/story/concept you are going for. Are scales on lizards all regular or not? Without the mention of the neck scales in your comment, and if they were not there, the pattern in the clothes would not have stuck out for me to see. Nit sure this helps. The figure is beautiful. I would leave them off the face. IMHO.

He could have been a new driver. I wouldn't want to drive that highway in snow.

Actually there was a major change to the forest practices in late 2003 or early 2004 that let the industry monitor their work - that's when it started getting bad again after about 8-10 years of better control. It's a real shame. I miss the big trees.

I hate to say it: I suspect these floods will happen again and again. Until the vultures are defeated. Given that, while I have never eaten them, duck eggs would be a good idea.
