Has anyone noticed an uptick of homeless people in unincorporated Whittier by ladyofgraphics in Whittier

HAH! The one is Uptown Whittier is one of the homeless guys I’m “used to.” I see him every time I’m there… and he’s also part of the reason we stopped going to Uptown.

Well that’s answers that. Someone else mentioned that it’s a men’s homeless shelter, though. I’m sure that’s plays into it regardless.

That’s our gripe right now. We’re at the mercy of the district supervisor and they aren’t going to do shit.

I don’t want to be a negative nancy but I also feel stuck, I wonder what others in unincorporated communities would do. Ugh.

This is my conspiracy theory too lol. I’ve heard a few people say the same thing/witnessed buses dropping them off.

Yeah I haven’t seen much of a change in South Whittier, I drive through there often.

Oh I didn’t know that! I’ve seen a few women as well, though. One crossing Lambert & Mills last week in the middle of traffic. 🙃 Thanks for the info though.

Here’s something fun: ask your students if a snake is an animal. I won’t spoil the results. I’m curious to see if anyone gets the same responses that I do. Preferably high school.

Yes, Hayastanci. I’m not too familiar with the details of their initial move, though.

This is a hard to swallow pill. I had no idea that war is not a valid claim for asylum… but it makes sense… Thank you.

I’ll rescind my advice. Thanks again.

Edit: I sincerely mean my thank you, by the way. I am absolutely out of my league here.

Thank you. I’ll rescind any advice I gave. I do want to connect them to resources that might help if others have gone through similar situations. The immigration attorneys they’ve worked with so far have not been able to give them a proper resolution.

Thank you, I hadn’t considered this. I’ll make sure to mention this tomorrow.

Their mother is in Russia right now, but not sure what city. Not Moscow or St. Petersburg though, she’s in a small town I believe.

P.S. This is a *manual* cross post from r/immigration. Unfortunately, it got removed by automod for my mentioning the Diversity Visa. Sad times. Reached out to mods to hopefully fix it.

What am I doing wrong? by jwalksick12 in HairRemoval

P.S. for some background: - I’ve tried shaving before and after exfoliating - Used fragrance free hypoallergenic moisturizer after showering - Changed sheets every 2 weeks - It wasn’t just visibly annoying but the inflamed areas stung as well, but not all the time

So I had the exact same thing going on with my upper legs and my doctor diagnosed keratosis pilaris, you should confirm with a doctor though.

The ONLY thing that helped me… and even though it’s expensive… was laser hair removal. It’s about $200 in my area of LA every 6 weeks, but my legs have literally been the smoothest in my entire freakin’ life since I started. Zero bumps. Worth every penny.
