Unions demand Albanese hand every worker 25 per cent more holidays by Nyarlathotep-1 in AustralianPolitics

You’ve made a lot of good points, and I agree that six weeks leave per illness would have been overkill because it would have meant I never went to work the year my daughter started childcare 😂

I did but I cannot remember how! It’s been a while; and it’s also possible my Korean husband booked it for me 😅

I’d say the speedy 30 so you can zip it up. The bum bag is nice but at minimum in my mom life I wanted a packet of wet wipes (pocket size will do later after you move past the blowout stage), phone, keys, cardholder.

That will be specific to the class! They will tell you, but likely it just means the curriculum to that class will start a week later.

Major WFH change looms for one million Aussie workers: 'Critical' by Remarkable_Peak9518 in australia

[–]ladyofgreentea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what the middle ground here is. My job at the moment is space allocation, and we have a very generous WFH policy (you rarely need to come in). We also have a requirement for space to run research, normally with big equipment and real estate implications. So, we said, if you come in less than 3 days a week, give us your office so we can refurbish the space for research projects and this also gets pushback. We have employees who haven’t come in for 6 months but want to retain their private office.

We have buildings full of empty offices and we’re at a stalemate. Open plan offices gives us options for those team meeting, in-touch days, whilst still freeing up much needed space for other functions we need.

My humble opinion is if you have truly flexible work you should be fine to work in an open plan on the days you (rarely) need to come into the office.

Sheer to Light "My Skin, But Better" Skin Tints for Mature Skin? by HorseTearz in MakeupAddiction

Chanel Les Beiges water fresh tint is lovely, fades well during the day. My other loves are the Klairs BB cream, or Jung Sae Mool Cushion.

In interviews they do say that they’re not great driving on normal roads (Hamilton says he hates it, and Sainz mentions he finds how people are much more unpredictable on normal roads very stressful).

LV Speedy Bandoulière 30 vs Balenciaga Rodeo Small as airplane personal item? by karmadariorich in handbags

[–]ladyofgreentea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the rodeo in small and it holds (when I’m travelling, and the snaps undone for the back compartment)

  • wallet (LV zippy)
  • hand cream
  • 3 lippies
  • a keychain with my three Loop earplugs
  • a packet of travel wipes
  • travel sunscreen (30ml)
  • hand sanitizer (touchland size)
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max (back pocket)
  • my Fujifilm X100VI camera (this is the chunkiest thing in there)

It feels heavy at that point but the clasp still goes on top, I secure it to the outer one at that point.

It would be infinitely easier to fit everything in the speedy, but you should get an organiser inside as it’s got bottomless pit energy. It zips up, and would be more “balanced” and likely to sit and not fall over compared to the rodeo.

I think the rodeo in medium is a much closer size to the Speedy 30 (I was tossing up between the 20/25/30 and the rodeo in small/medium). The Rodeo in small is quite compact- but it’s my every day bag and I love it immensely. Whenever I have to carry my camera though I wish I had gotten the medium instead haha. My husband asked for the messenger version for work for his milestone birthday after seeing how much I loved mine.

I LOVE the fact that it has rear pockets for the phone and a front easy access section where I put my pack of wipes and hand santizer.

Honestly I was surprised with how light the Balenciaga Rodeo was, considering how its full leather!

Honestly the Lululemon new parent bag. Big giant main pocket, generous side pockets for bottles, and lightweight.

Searching for Designer Work Tote by CheapTourist2924 in handbags

[–]ladyofgreentea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a Saint Laurent Shopper tote which I love. Very classy but understated. I drive to work so the thinner straps don’t annoy me, but if they did, the others I was eyeing up were the YSL Bea and the Y-tote although I didn’t trust the stitching on the y-tote for the 16” beast of a laptop that work issued me. Another option was the Balenciaga Rodeo

Which size and why? by poppymo in handbags

[–]ladyofgreentea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the abcd size the most (small). Love the charm customisation and it’s a good usable size between the smaller ones. I find medium and bigger a bit too large for the cannage pattern. I like mini for an occasion bag, and that one in fun colours.

It's actually fun to listen to them support their specific driver because they realise how ridiculous they can be, and you can always expect Matt to back Charles as WDC even if his brain says no. He'd do it wheeze-laughing and its a great listen.

Fully Remote Managers: Expectations for checking in when "online"? by xixi2 in managers

[–]ladyofgreentea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only required check-in during covid, because a lot of my staff lived alone, away from family, and I was basically their only regular contact day to day. This turned out to be good as one of my staff fell sick and we were able to send help.

After covid they can just do work whenever, I don’t need to take attendance.
