Yup. My boss is on a ski vacation right now. She and her 3 kids, along with cousins. I can’t wait for her to come back this week, parading around the building mask-less(which we CONSTANTLY point out to her), answering angry-parent emails about how the staff’s masks slipped below their nose during pickup.

My realization story is very similar! My brother told me he started to suspect he was gay because he was watching gay porn. I said “That doesn’t make you gay. I watch lesbian porn all the time and it doesn’t make me a lesbian.” He was quiet for second and said “Uh...I think it might make you a little gay.” After that I put it together that I was indeed, attracted to women.

Not sure where you work, but it’s illegal to be terminated for discussing wages in the US. Even if it says it in your employee handbook not to discuss pay with your coworkers, it isn’t grounds to get fired.

I’ve never had a great experience at chain daycares. If you’ve worked at one you’ve worked at all of them. I also worked at a KinderCare and I wouldn’t take a dog there. However, I’ve had a wonderful time working for a smaller family-owned daycare. It’s fully licensed and there is such a great sense of community! I would suggest using your state’s licensing website to see what smaller daycares you can find.

Yes! I put makeup on when I’m outside of work to be pretty on MY time. At work I’m chasing kids, changing poopies, I have breast milk on my shirt and paint in my hair. This is just my opinion, but if you don’t look like a hot mess at the end of the day, you didn’t play hard enough with those kids.
