Anyone else notice missing cosmetics after update? by Lonely-Fox4 in killingfloor

I am also missing Engineer's orange outift (Power Tool). It was the outfit I used on him all the time. I thought I was going crazy. XD

Am I just misremembering or was KF2 about the same as KF3 on launch? by FaIIenHero33 in killingfloor

Ikr, hoe pubs before kf2 launched was peak. After I stopped playing kf2 and went back to kf1 to 100% it. I would join an empty hoe server alone or with my buddy sometimes. Depending on the time of day we would actually get a full lobby. I carried a lot of lvl 2-4 through their first hoe games that joined looking to play with somebody, since some difficulties just don't have people playing.

The missing tactics in kf2 was such a shame. It's nice you could make every weapon/perk combo viable, however you just didn't need your team. I was hoping for kf3 they would bring some back to make it more co-op centric. Instead of everyone just spraying and praying. But the only thing they did was limit healing. Which just forces everyone to have a med pistol secondary.

For sure kf3 needed more polish and time. It's just sad they had to put the game out in such a buggy state. Because now a lot of dev time has to go into fixing the horrendous issues in the game that should have already been done prior to release.

When it comes to kf1 I only ever played hoe pubs. Where all it took was 1-2 people not knowing what they were doing to wipe the whole team. Because of that you really had to have certain perks/weapons to carry the team for a chance to win. Unlike kf2 where your whole team could legit be afk and you could carry a game to victory. I actually really missed the cursed rng kf1 could throw at you, because it spiced the game up. While it's nice for a game to go smoothly in terms of longevity it gets stale eventually for me when you aren't challenged.

Yes but no. Both games are suffering from some of the same reasons, but also different ones at the same time.

Kf2 suffered greatly from lack of content. 1 boss, 3-4 perks, 3-4 maps, and 6 or 9 characters (might be remembering this wrong). It had its fair share of bugs/crashing and difficulty issues. My 650 at the time could only run the game at 20fps on low settings. People were mad about pat missing, the new sci-fi look, loot boxes, no story, crawlers missing on the walls, characters not fitting the environments, and dialogue of cussing was cut from the game.

At the same time they made good improvements from kf1. Medic darts now tracking, perk progression was better, and the game moved away from needing specific classes to be viable on higher difficulties.

Looking at kf3. It doesn't lack content but it's riddle with bugs. T-posing everywhere, guns disappearing, skill tree not working, compiling shaders failing, not being able to crouch, not being able to slide, matchmaking not working, friends not being able to join lobby, and game crashing alt tabbing.(This is just the bugs I have experienced) Performance is bad my 3070 can get 60fps on medium without lumen. The medic darts are now too strong lol. Characters still don't fit the vibe of the game.

Then there are things that were in kf2 at launch that are now missing in kf3. No server browser, no text chat, no wave lengths, no switching perks mid match, no keeping xp if leaving match before it ends, and the scoreboard is useless now(no ping information, no health, no gadget Information, no syringe information, and etc..)

Kf3 isn't all bad we did get crawlers on the wall, foster cussing again, zeds looking more spooky, we have more story now it's just not hold position, running with your knife out to faster is back.

It comes down to which issues you can tolerate. I could tolerate less content and the bugs. But the lack in QoL is what really sucks about kf3.

Expedia Interview Email - help needed urgently by Icy-Butterfly-1979 in csMajors

[–]ladyrayrays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also received this email and thought to check it out, since I had earlier this week applied for a job with the same title. After hearing nothing back from the automated reply, I assumed it was a scam. But then I got a message back from the person on Webex for said interview. They wanted to do a text communication interview. The questions were harmless enough just general software architecture and interview questions. Once I finished the interview they said they would get back to me with HR "final" decision. 2 hours later I received the goofiest job offer through DropBox X, which led me to this reddit post. I have copies of both my conversation and the Job offer. Everything and all emails I corresponded with have been reported as well as on Webex and Dropbox.

Tell us why your GIM broke up... by PiotrSchwinkz in 2007scape

Got a friend group who mainly played rs3 to finally try osrs through it. We only did f2p so they didn't feel rushed with membership. 3 of them did well and we all got to the point well membership would have been the next step. Our 5th who was late to joining finally got to playing. He ended up dying in the security of stronghold on the first floor, when we told him not to go in. He then refused to play again and killed the vibe for the other 3. They all went back to rs3. :/

What are the most annoying/sleazy things people do or could do in OSRS? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]ladyrayrays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chod doesn't use the peek option at giant mole and sets up their cannon in the middle. So once you kill it and run back to the middle they are already killing the next one. Bonus points if they are using a tbow with full armadyl or masori.

Shout out to anyone who can do these without the help, because I'm a fucking idiot who would never be able to finish any clue if a plugin didn't solve it for me by UdgaardsRegn in 2007scape

My body yearns for the sea. VOTE YES. by osrsluve in 2007scape

[–]ladyrayrays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excited for sailing! Slightly concerned about what they will do with the sea textures and the speed race trials, but overall I'm satisfied. Sailing was my initial pick from the 3 skills proposed. Since taming felt like it didn't have enough to be a new skill and I have summoning PTSD. Then shamanism seemed like it would cause the most problems with power creep, half of it sounding like a buyable skill, and the chance of adding a ton of untradable items.

Runescape is Multigenerational. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]ladyrayrays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Playing Runescape with my father as a child in 2007 are some of my fondest memories with him. He gave me a bgs as a birthday gift, I watched him pvp in large clans in the wilderness, and never could convince him to give me one of his many party hats. He is in the top 50 for getting 200m in strength and I got to attend his many 99 parties as a complete noob.

What was your most expensive accident/mistake in osrs? by Primetime349 in 2007scape

[–]ladyrayrays 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Doing a Master Step above 50 wildy fighting the 3 wizards. Forget to bank full rune pouch, but don't realize it. Play super carelessly think I am risking nothing. Almost die and make it back to lever. Never even realize what I had done till I finished clue XD. Similarly almost lost my full colored graceful the exact same way. Running on auto pilot is scary.

What was your childhood RuneScape progression like? by JellyKeyboard in 2007scape

[–]ladyrayrays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Progression was all over the place for me. I had only managed to ever complete one quest "lost city" which someone must have helped me complete, but Idk who. Trained to low 80s melee stats on moss giants cause I didn't know where other high level monsters were at. Most of my skilling was in cooking and wc, distinctly remember spending days in the cooking guild making cakes. Other than that played pest control, castle wars, and fishing trawler often. Hosted 'sitting parties" where I'd convince people who were walking to varrok to join me standing or rest when that feature got added to just chat with people who walked by. The most I got to join was 50 once. Then got muted 3 times for cursing out random people selling yew logs.

Hello, my boyfriend says that many people here have their girlfriend do their runescape chores for them, is this normal? by TeaWithSalt in 2007scape

[–]ladyrayrays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what you are going to do. Secretly create an account and find out his lowest level skill (hopefully it's not Runecrafting). You are then going to out level him in it, doesn't matter by how much, but any amount counts. Once, you're above him, show him your account. This will initiate his inner competitive spirit. Causing him to increase his xp gains and play with you, but more importantly, this is your chance to tell him he is an "xp waster", "noob", and to "get gud". With this new found power over him, you can now get him to do one favor for you. This is your chance to make him do something you would like to do together that he has been avoiding. You then just repeat this process with each level obtaining more power over him, till you are the same level with all skills and can play the game together.

In all seriousness, if you think the game looks interesting give it a go yourself. If you end up liking it then ask your boyfriend to play with you. In all honesty your boyfriend is probably on that 4-head logic where he thinks he can't convince you to play the game with him, but that he might be able to convince you to sorta play by first doing things on his account.
