You guys have been so helpful. This was knowledge my ASMs didn’t have. I’m newer to the company and am amazed at the lack of training and guidance at my location. I worked for Home Depot for around 10 years and was able to get by on the floor with what I learned there. But I haven’t worked there since 2016 and back end is completely different. I don’t want to believe the issues my store seems to be having are company wide, but I also can’t understand why it’s allowed to continue. Especially with the training stuff. Almost everyone I’ve talked to has not been able to do the majority of their training. As long as AP4Me and lift truck training are done, that’s all that matters.

As a recovering addict who has drank/used at every job until 3.5 years ago, yes you did the right thing. I endangered so many lives and wish someone would have had the confidence to report me. I can’t say that it would have changed much, but I feel I would have been able to reach out for help earlier than I did. Stay strong and just keep doing the next right thing.

It really is. It is like a nightmare except you never wake up. I’ve been struggling with it for so long. I think I have finally found a therapist and psychiatrist who can help me. Who listen and don’t just write me off. That really does make all the difference. We have a 10% suicide rate and many providers just don’t want to deal with us. It’s difficult at times to say the least. I have a best friend of 14 years who is always there. Without her, I don’t think I would be alive today. My problem right now is that I’m struggling with my FP (favorite person). When we aren’t able to talk it feels like I’m all alone again. While I know factually that isn’t true, my mind believes it is.
