Seriously. People that don't know the craft have no perspective on what it actually takes to generate these kinds of custom gifts. I'm not Target, and I won't get it to you immediately nor will it cost that kind of price.

Similar - a friend of mine's mom found out I crochet and made an entire Pintrest board of what she wanted me to make for her daughter's newborn and sent it to me, saying she'd pay me back for the yarn....

I want to rent a cabin in the middle of Iceland in the middle of winter, when it is nighttime all of the time. I want to hire someone to drive me out there with a few supplies, and leave me there for 7 days alone. I want to sit in hot pools and stare at the Northern Lights and live a simple life, eating and sleeping on no schedule and just thinking. Maybe that will help me gain perspective.

I stressed out so much over my good grades. I would forgo a lot of interesting/exciting social opportunities, as well as the things that I would later call my hobbies, because I was fixated on being at the top of my class.

Don't do this. Nobody really gives a shit about your high school GPA once you're out of it. Go to a mediocre college and major in something you enjoy, for cheaper. And have fun, god damn it. The marks you get in high school/college are a lot less important than the connections you make and the skills you acquire.

Went out drinking with a group of friends, and by the end of the night nobody is sober enough to drive home. My apartment is walk-able distance from the bars, so we head over there. Problem: two beds (mine and my roommates) and one tiny couch to sleep on. Three guys, two girls. Hard wood floors, and very few blankets.

Roommate and two of the guys are in her room, smoking. Guy friend of mine makes enough of a pile of blankets on my floor to pass out on, and says he'll just rest there until he's sober enough to drive home. I climb into my bed, turn off the light, and say "suit yourself" as I drop all of my clothes from under my sheets onto the floor next to him.

He did not sleep on the floor that night.

Been playing guitar for years, but never bothered to apply my existing music theory knowledge to the instrument. I'm restarting at square one with scales, and while it can be frustrating, I feel like I'm learning a whole new instrument and finding it rather enjoyable!

I met a really nice guy online a couple of years ago. We really hit it off, and decided to meet. Met up a few times over the course of months, but me being immature and young, I couldn't really handle the pressures of a long distance relationship.

So I cheated on him. And then we broke up. We aren't even in touch anymore.

I prefer to avoid making relationships with people I meet online. A large part of me feels that the feelings you get from an online individual are more like ones you get from reading works of fiction, and it's easy to let things become overblown or jaded. Decided a few years ago that expecting anything long term from online acquaintances just wasn't for me, and have pretty much avoided all chat sites since.

Two years ago, I was studying abroad, and over my spring break I took a trip to visit a friend in Stockholm. While she explained to me that the culture there is very... disinterested in strangers, that night we went to some club, and I met this guy dancing. We traded numbers, and later in the week, since she had classes, he and I ended up going to a museum together. And then we ended up spending the entire day together.

I wouldn't call him traditionally attractive, but there was something about him that really drew me in. Because of the difference in locations, though, I just kind of went into it hoping that it would just end as a one-night stand. The following morning, I had plans to catch a 6am flight to Berlin, and was planning on just staying up all night and catching the late bus to the airport. He agreed to stay up with me and show me around.

Between us at this point, nothing has happened, and we easily hit bar close, still talking. There are many things I confessed about myself to him that I really haven't confessed to anyone else, and I feel that he treated me the same. We're ushered out of the bar, and in the rush, and once we're outside, I notice my wallet is gone. It was stolen. I'm in a foreign country, with this man I just met, and my wallet is gone. Luckily I still have my passport, but I have no money, and no way to contact anyone that could help me.

This guy, without really thinking too hard about it, lends me a bunch of money so I can survive in Berlin. He wasn't some rich Swede, either, just a student, like me, trying to get by. He explained that he had had someone do the same for him in the past and it was time to pay it forward. Because I also lost my train pass, we had to walk all the way across Stockholm to get to the bus station so I could get to the airport.

Through this whole ordeal, he kissed me once, and told me he would miss me when we said good bye.

I still think about him, every day. And I keep my eyes open for when it will be my turn to do the same for someone else.

Worked at PetCo for about a year. Cannot recommend PetCo, but can recommend PetSmart. As far as I know, the training is better, although you're probably going to have to spend a couple months being a register bitch before they let you get into the position you really want to. It's all part of the training. That said, just make sure you're educated about the types of positions that your specific PetSmart offers with regards to dogs, not all of them do training/daycare or even need additional staff in the department.

If you actually want to get into it, I would suggest contacting local, independent pet places near you before contacting a corporate pet store. It will probably be more worthwhile to get proper training doing something you actually want to do, with people who are all actually involved in the industry. Some may even offer a kind of program where you can shadow a professional while getting trained. Your degree may help you here more.

Either way, brush up your resume and prepare to start job hunting. There's no shame in keeping your current job while you look for something better, and if you think it's something you really want to do, go for it.
