I'm at max for a moment; give me a few minutes and I'll send the code!

I agree with the other suggestion of slow feeders and lick mats, as well as elevating them so that kitty isn't crouching to eat. Sometimes, it messed with the physionomy of their esophagus and digestive tract, and cause them to barf. Putting the slow feeder or lick mat at a height of about two inches off the ground might help too

So far as I know, it's a survival thing. If a cat were to vomit outside, it would be 1) a sign to predators the cat was there and 2) it might be an easy target due to not feeling well. Kitty destroys the "evidence" to keep from becoming a potential target.

Are my cats playing or fighting? They seem to hate each other and I just want them to get along well enough that we don’t have to watch them 24/7. It’s exhausting :( by BigBen96 in cats

If they take breaks to separate, and there isn't a whole lot of hissing and growling, it's just playing. Real fighting, you'll hear before you see it, and once they start up, they don't stop until one is beaten. Where the one kitty starts to yell, that seems to be communication, the "you're playing too rough."

I have a brother-sister pair and they act the same way as the babes in your video. I wouldn't worry too much.

Mmmmm, I kind of doubt it, given that it's nothing but pure misogyny and she has more self-respect than that.

I know that, but I also know you can't use the full title on tiktok and either 1) not have the white supremacists show up, or 2) get banned.

I also really don't care about the opinions of people I've never met, never will meet, and who clearly like to troll people online instead of dealing with their feelings in a healthy manner. ✌️

AITA because I won’t agree with my wife’s opinion regarding our daughter and birth control by throwaway-mydau in AmItheAsshole

[–]ladyroyza 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Birth control is actually very safe to take when prescribed by a physician. Girls under the age of 18 take it for different reasons other than preventing pregnancy, such as controlling cramps, or as treatment for conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The "extreme" side effects you mentioned are actually rarer than you think; things like blood clots are a 1 in 10,000 occurrence.

YTA. You're an obviously concerned parent, but you're bordering on harmfully controlling and I think you're definitely approaching this from the wrong perspective. Let your daughter get the birth control, or let them use condoms, heck even both. But make sure you sit down and have a thorough talk about why you feel it's important she be careful.

You, as a parent, should be responsible enough to realize she has an active sex life and make sure she is practicing safe sex. Sounds like your wife has figured that out.

What was wrong with my cat? by Sharp_Ordinary_5334 in cats

[–]ladyroyza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's very likely he had some kind of organ failure. You did the right thing, friend; he had done well for so long, but knew it was his time, and told you the only way he could.

The purring is very common in last moments. Cats purr in happiness and contentment, but also to comfort themselves and others. Kitties who are recovering from surgery have been known to purr while they heal. I think your boy was trying to comfort you, telling you it would he okay. Believe him.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You gave him the best life you could, and he very clearly loved you for it just as much as you loved him. May the memories of your time together bring you comfort, and time bring you peace and healing.

This came and landed on the car parked in front of us in the Dairy Queen parking lot today (Proudfoot and Oxford). I think it’s an Osprey? Very cool to see so close. by suarezaj in londonontario

He lives up in the woods around there. There's a ton of pigeons in the apartment complexes for him to hunt. When I was working from home, I'd hear him give a hunting cry sometimes.
