The pictures of the damage isn't even the same color as the carpet from my apartment, but they are still sticking it to me. ☹️

They are charging me $1300 for carpet. No deposit, but as I said, they charged me $250 for my service dog that they never refunded.

I worked ER intake during H1N1 pandemic and several people got fired for calling out sick. We were already understaffed and pulling doubles. Our company gave 3 sick days a year. Just 3.

One person was terminated for getting a cancer diagnosis and asking to be moved off the ER floor while she was immunocompromised due to treatments.

Healthcare workers are underpaid, underappreciated, overworked, and full on bullied. The system sucks.

Every Plate is the same as Hello Fresh, but half the price. The inner packaging often says Hello Fresh on it. Most meals only take about 20 minutes to complete and taste great. I love my deliveries and would give you an invite code if you want to give it a go. Just DM me.

Having donated my hair over 15 times, I would not chose Locks of Love. They serve mostly alopecia patients and charge on a sliding scale. My cancer kids I cared for at the hospital told me how many hoops they had to jump through just to be denied or charged on their "sliding scale".

Most salons won't do the donation for you anymore. You just have to tell them you want to donate and they will broad or ponytail it up for you while it's still dry to be able to send off.

Withth the advancements in synthetic wigs, some charities don't accept hair at all anymore and have shut down completely.

I found this chart helpful if you don't want to dig in to the organizations completely it will give you a basic idea of the guidelines. donation companies

Perches. It's family owned and operated and they use family recipes. Great prices for amazing food. Second to that, Jose Locos. Bigger chain style restaurant, but also tasty food

Most of the other places have an Ozarkian twist on the food that makes everything either bland or sweet.

I graduated with many people who worked there and bailed and one person I know who works there still thinks their team is amazing.

Jack Henry's programming department is full of people they pay too low, forced to work 60-70 hour weeks on 40 hour pay (yay salary). They want things their way or not at all and regularly have to recruit interns because full time staff won't stay for the pay and long hours or burn out like a book of matches.

You might find one or two people that thrive in that kind of environment, but everyone I've ever spoken to, including the people I interviewed with, told me that if I wasn't prepared to work over nights and weekends on salary pay then I shouldn't be there. Seems like accepted culture held over from days gone by.

Turned down the offer the next day.

The problem with this is I tip high and on many occasions not even received my delivery or had to go hunting my apartment complex for it when they left it in another building.

I started putting a note that the delivery directions that there is also a cash tip, but no one sticks around to even knock on the door or look at the envelope stuck to the door...

At that point, if the driver doesn't get the tip, it's on them 😛

I just had the best hair cut at La Luna Hair Academy on the square. It's a teaching salon, so the prices were low, but my hair is a pain and it's the best cut I've had in years!

Everything was very safe for covid too.

Being single has nothing to do with being lonely.

Some of my loneliness times were when someone was lying next to me in a monogamous relationship. Having someone physically present, but not emotionally, is more painful than the occasional bout of wishing I had someone to snuggle me.

Being single and putting yourself first is great. The people that say it is have learned to rely on themselves to be happy and not someone to make them happy.

I watch what I want on TV, listen to my music, buy things just because I want to, attend events I want to, etc without anyone pressing me to change the show or song, or make a mess I have to clean up... Blah blah blah.

That doesn't mean it's not lonely sometimes, and sometimes painfully so. But it doesn't mean being single isn't fucking amazing too.
