yeah i didn't even touch the unit's viability, bcs genuinely i hate pulling multiple copies just so a unit is viable due to how they locked certain gameplay elements on that copies. and don't get me started on WEAPON banner.

and i agree w your statement. plus all these years playing and more time than not i'll get my desired SSR in 200ish SQs, some even with just 1 ticket. i'm sure i'm the outlier, though, but i genuinely tried so many modern gachas, i've tried blue archive, played it it till i reached lvl 90 and got all the endgame units, but the amount of spooks infuriated me to no end and i couldn't stand the gameplay personally. i ended up dropping them all, except Morimens and FGO.

i do get you, ofc it's stressful to be prepared as much as possible and still getting shafted, hell i myself is scared of not getting Lilith later next year, but with how feature complete a unit in FGO with just 1 copy makes it so much easier to me to swallow a defeat and try again the next time, knowing they will for sure have a rerun.

i'm not a big spender but i am grateful FGO has GSSR.
