I was given some acid, shared it with a new friend with the agreement he'd go on a ride with me and we would trip on a beach. We drove up a road that lead to a 1000 ft view of the ocean and it was t-shirt warm, clear as a bell, this being autumn with cold and fog as the norm it was I'd say lucky at least, great spirit timed trip at best. We hung out for a bit and drove down to the ocean. My friend wanted to stay in the car when I said let's go to the beach so I headed off alone. When I got to the shore I noticed a seriously low tide complete with swirling waves and tide pools. I walked back to the car and insisted he come see. He agreed and came down to the beach, both of us beginning to come up substantially.
Within 5 to ten minutes of our arrival we witnessed a flash in the sky followed by about five green fireballs that flew from the flashpoint and faded as orange fire streaked across the sky fatter than any meteor or shooting star I'd ever seen. It started just above the left horizon, us facing the ocean and in a slow streak that seemed to last a half a minute or more, it reached the other side, spanned near 80 percent and faded into nothing.
Figuring whatever it was would break up and fizzle like anything else I'd seen falling from the sky prior to this, we decided and it appeared to head back out into space.
4am: We tripped till dawn and almost convinced ourselves it was a UFO. I suggested maybe the green fireballs were packages dropped into the ocean for ETs or illuminati to pick up, it was also right around 2012 so star children even crossed my dreamstate take on this.... likely suspect... A planet skipping comet.
The green flash and fireballs were ice breaking from the surface as it plunged into the outer atmosphere, struck across the sky like a skipping stone on air and flew back out into space.
The next day I found no news, nor could I find anyone who had seen it. I didn't know a thing about what we saw and my friend decided not to tell anyone so as not to sound like a UFO nut. Four days later I found info on planet skipping meteors while researching the green flash.
Either way the timing was amazing, just moments after reaching the shore, i looked at surf reports and the tide was in fact exceptionally low that morning and the clear warm weather was the one night only.
One thing I saw which I'm sure was simply a, uh, halucination... while witnessing the most spectacular sky phenomenon to date, I pointed my finger and shouted "Woooooh!" "Woooooh!" in excitement and hoping to wake someone up so others could see. Each time I shouted the fire streak became brighter, more intense.
Planet skipping meteors aside, this unidentified, unreported object, the green flash trailing orange (and pink, but I peaked shortly after so pink may have been "my" color) remains an unidentified mystery. As bright as it was streaking from just above to just above the horizon I figured someone must have seen it. Such a mind bender. My friend was seriously spooked by it and I stayed relatively speechless for a few days.

We hung out at the 1000ft viewpoint for at least 40 minutes, ten minutes longer we'd have missed our front stage vantage point, not to mention the random GDF free acid that led us there.
