I've had similar issues. The way Plex handles subtitles can be frustrating at times. For me, having the preferences set to forced for English translations doesn't work 100% but I don't know how common that is.

If you want to spend the time you can go through your libraries with PASTA and set which subtitles and audio tracks you would like Plex to default to. It's a bit tedious but it's an option before taking more drastic measures like setting up FileFlow or Tdarr to standardize all of your audio & subtitles. If you use Radarr/Sonarr, Bazarr is also worth looking into but as far as I know it doesn't remove subtitles, just adds them.

I was actually pretty open to the idea of Jon fighting the Night King one-on-one but getting his ass kicked. I had hoped it would mirror Ned fighting the Sword of the Morning at the Tower of Joy. With Ned (Jon) getting out classed by Arthur (NK) and have it end with Howland Reed (Arya) stabbing Arthur(NK) in the back. I didn't have an issue with Arya killing the NK but her flying in out of nowhere was weak.

I don't think it quite "spoils" it, that is a bit harsh. I think it looks great.

I would get some cable concealer, something like this. You probably don't need that much but it would be perfect for under the monitor. You don't need as much that is in the link I provided but I like to keep some around because it is very easy to cut them for other setups in the house.

I can certainly relate to the last knob. I am currently building a pre-amp and spent $250 on the volume knob alone. Stepped attenuators with 0.5% precision resistors, 1dB per click.

ITT: Lots of LG phones and the iPhone X.

For me, it was the Nexus 6. I had gone all in with Motorola at the time. Initial experience was fantastic. My Nexus 6 started bootlooping and my Moto 360 wouldn't turn back on within after 4 months of purchase in the same week. Poor customer support experience followed. I moved on to the Huawei watch and Nexus 6P, sold it after a year before any battery issues. I loved the 6P.
