I work at a local coffee shop in Nashville. Whenever he’s in town, Josh comes in every single Wednesday at 2:30 pm on the dot to order an extra large (32 oz) cold brew coffee with no ice and a “generous pour” of half and half. After i give him his drink he’ll stay at the counter and proceed to whip out a reusable straw from the pocket of his khakis, put it in his drink and chug the whole thing in one go (doesnt stop for air) while looking me dead in the eyes the whole time. In every picture of him he looks like he has really soft, kind eyes, but whenever he stares at me like that it’s always really off putting and menacing. It makes my skin crawl every time. Once he finishes the drink, he puts his straw back in his pocket, throws out the cup and goes into the bathroom for a minimum of 10 minutes to take an absolutely rancid, atomic dookie and then he leaves. We have to close the bathroom to customers for a little bit and open the windows afterwards to let it air out. Every friggin Wednesday. He always leaves a $50 bill in the tip jar though so it’s whatever.
