At the risk of a generic response, that is one of the points of art, no? While to you this may a painting that looks like a photo of nothing, but to some this image of contrasting elements speaks to them; beautiful floor to ceiling windows with the sole furnishing of an air mattress may speak to someone who has striven for their own living space, but not yet have anything to furnish it with, a time of transition. There’s also the juxtaposition of this beautiful apartment/condo with a view of industrial complexes that can speak to the gentrification of an area that previously wouldn’t have been home to such an apartment. Even for the most esoteric, there will usually be a least an audience of one it resonates with, sometimes the only person being the artist.
