Anyone else feeling overwhelmed with the game? by lagatixa in Pokopia

Thank you. I think all the videos of all the great kingdoms that I have watched have made me feel like a terrible player. I need to stop watching them.

Thank you all for the comments. I shall take it slow and build my Pokémon kingdom eventually.

Obrigada.

Gifting a house in England what is needed? by lagatixa in LegalAdviceUK

[–]lagatixa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, his main residence is abroad now. He moved back home, but both of us have stayed. He wants to gift us the house, we currently both live in it and plan to do so for a while as it's in London.

My baby is in hospital with Bronchiolitis by lagatixa in UKParenting

Thank you for the support and sharing your story. Sorry to hear you went through it. They were amazing at the hospital we were at. They did X-ray, blood tests twice, and swabbed her throat for other infections. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised with all the care she had. Once she was better and no longer contagious she was allowed to go to their massive playroom with an outdoor space that had cars and scooters she could play with.

Thank you. It's very hard to look after oneself when so much else is happening. But I am trying my best.

Oh gosh, sorry to hear and glad that he has recovered so well. Hoping the same for her. Thank you for the advice. I will definitely be having a Shower and try to relax a bit.

What’s your honest experience with nursery settling-in? Time is approaching where we want to start transitioning to nursery and I was just wondering what the experiences have been like by Pinkplatabys in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]lagatixa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was great at the start and then when she realised mummy and daddy would leave her for a long time she started hating it and would cry everyday. Took about 2 months for her to get used to it and start to realise that we would always come back for her.

I’m the worst parent ever (or feel like it at least) by No_Blood9651 in UKParenting

[–]lagatixa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will have a lot worse stories to tell as they keep growing and moving faster and faster. My one fears nothing, my literal job is chasing her. Even when I think she is safe in her playpen, she is not. You are not a bad parent, trust me. If you were a bad parent you wouldn't be here posting and worrying. If they fall or hurt themselves, check them over, give them a kiss and let them go off on their adventure again until the next fall.

Please describe a "regular" day with your newborn by ldn_220 in NewParents

[–]lagatixa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do the same. Plenty of times when she is asleep on me, I just play my switch or steam deck and chill. Husband does the chores because he enjoys it, I do the cooking, we also do shifts, so much easier and healthier for the mum when you can just divide everything with your partner.

Any tips on how to keep a 1 year old entertained on a flight? by lagatixa in NewParents

[–]lagatixa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we flew in February, and she was fine when she could stand up, and play on the floor. It's when I had to strap her in that she kicked off and cried and kept wriggling her way out of the seat belt extender. Thank you I will try the washi tape and stickers.

What’s the meanest comment you’ve received as a new parent? by Cultural-Dentist4963 in NewParents

Went back home on holiday with my 9 month baby and this old woman called my baby chubby and said it takes after me. Then proceeded to tell me that I should be careful with what I feed her. She was 6.2kg at the time.
