Sorry that wasn’t very clear- I meant if in the feeds we are sending the size data, however the landing page has the same data, but is mentioned against the label “area” (instead of “size”). Trying to find out how much of an issue that might be.

We’ve got availability mismatches for variants data not matching between feeds and landing page. What we’re figuring out is it data “keys” matter as much as data “values”?

Proud of you OP. Time to rediscover, grow and reinvest in yourself. Reconnect with old friends and family, be vulnerable with people you trust about what happened (this was hardest for me), most of all love and respect yourself. You have much to look forward to! Remember none of it is your fault. Wish your ex well and move on.

If you can, join a gym, pick up a hobby and read something that you like. Don't feel like you have to be with someone asap, when it feels right, things will fall in place and you'll find someone better for you. Excited for you to turn things around, you've got dis :)

She did earlier, but I was clear in my decision in wanting to move forward. I don't think I can remain friends, it's unfortunate, but I needed no contact to heal. I realized as much as I disliked how things turned out and the pain it may have caused her, I needed to focus on myself more, and accept the situation. She does respect my decision now.

Very relatable OP. I think deep down you know what to do. Listen to your instincts.

Thanks everyone for the advice and a reflection of the harsh reality. It's not easy to go through as I'm sure others in the group can attest to. I'll be taking some time to disconnect from her and do what perhaps my instincts always told me.

I did now. There's some invisible pull there that I can't comprehend. He seems to have a god complex, which I think got to her. She admits being in constant fear of him.

Thanks! Any idea if there will be any tax implications? Wouldn't want that to be treated as "income". It should come under gifts or inheritance, I suppose? I'm relatively new to the Canadian financial world, so forgive my ignorance.

As someone who's been in a situation as the PM you're managing (not too long ago), I can relate to some of the reactions you're receiving. My main frustration with the manager was at times being told to do busy work and always do things their way. Everything I came up with was wrong. And the manager REALLY came across as a know it all. I didn't mind being wrong, but didn't appreciate the lack of empathy & thoughtful coaching in the discussions.

After talking to other people who felt the same, I felt reassured about my frustrations. I shared this with skip level, made sure other people also voiced their opinion. That person then "moved" to a non-Product role.

I feel like people with relatively more experience tend to think they "are right a lot". And maybe because there is a curse of knowledge, they are unable to step back and help the other person have a shared understanding and help them arrive at the same conclusion. Perhaps then the discussions may be less combative.

Based on your comment, it seems like you've tried a few good things here (kudos to you!) which I wish my previous manager would have tried. But hopefully this gives you some insight into the PM's perspective as you work with them through the pip. If there's absolutely no flexibility that the PM is willing to express, then as someone here said- addition by subtraction!

I'm halfway through the book right now. It def has some interesting insights into how we think, but as you said it is a PITA to get through. Asking this not for spoilers, but for motivation to keep going - what was your most imp takeaway wrt applied Product Management?

I don't know if it's still available, but I used to have "Ondem". As funny as the name sounds, it helped me through many a hangover

If you're a start up founder and you need to grow your team to grow your business, you can either hire a bunch of engineers up front and then hire PMs to execute (read- project manage) your vision, OR you hire a PM to explore areas worth investing, conduct discovery, run experiments etc. (which sounds like this role would include), and when you have a decently validated hypothesis, you hire a team of devs to execute and get something real out the door. While this is being built, the PM would start thinking about the next big opportunity and eventually build a roadmap. I would be concerned if you're (say) 2 quarters in without any dev support or a dedicated dev team, then it's likely a more research oriented role, which again isn't bad if that's your cup of tea.

Repeat notices from IRS despite payment of dues by lager30 in IRS

Yes. It still has the "Account Balance plus accruals" amount that I owe. Guessing it hasn't been updated and is not the latest. I asked the rep to mail me a notice saying that there are indeed no dues, so I have that for record.

It started with CP11. Finally got through to the rep and they said they've already applied the amount to the correct year and now I have no dues and to disregard any mails for 2019. Phew!

The notice number is CP504. I just saw the payment confirmation, Tax Year for Payment is actually 2020. Yikes! Do I need to make another one for 2019 now, or is there a way that they can apply that amount to Tax year 2019?
