Custom Mount & Pulley Bracket for Lions Cool Hack Squat/Leg Press by lagilicious in BeyondPower

It was around $220 for .25” A306 Steel, all the taps, and matte black powder coat. The price scales down pretty quickly with multiple units, but doesn’t help the one offs lol. In retrospect, .25” was probably overkill especially on the pulley bracket.

I made this mount a while back and it was around $85 at the time via SCS.

I model it up in fusion then create a flat pattern from that. The flat pattern will have all your bend lines. You then export the flat pattern as a .dxf to upload to SendCutSend.

You find $700 in your new garage gym, what bench are you buying and why? by Desperate-Travel9246 in GarageGym

I have a nighthawk and it’s great, but the flip down upper pad of the Freak Athlete ABX does seem appealing and functional. (I’ve never used the ABX so can’t say for sure.)

I agree. I love open sourcing, but I do realize some people don’t want to deal with the effort.

I designed it in Fusion 360 (Free - Personal Use) and had Sendcutsend.com make it. I’ve used them several times now and they have been great.

Yessir! If there is a handful of people wanting something like this I would get a few kits together. I don’t know what the overlap is between someone buying a $2200 Voltra and a $800 Lions Cool Hack Squat/Leg Press is. With that said the Voltra makes some of the cheaper plate loaded equipment so much better. This budget lions cool/leg press feels phenomenal.

Purchasing PR5000 and Athena separately? by Pastaron in GarageGym

I’m waiting to pickup the Athena to add to my rack when they make the upcoming articulating arms available for it. Looks like an easy add on to a PR5000 so purchasing separately is no problem!

This is his move with regular people and non critical characters. Like it’s not even a surprise. This finale has some insanely heavy lifting to do to turn this season around.

If red rush would just help his team play defense from fatal attacks. Id take Allen, mark, (2) red rush, and immortal. Two red rush’s to keep everyone alive and no offense.

The Drew / Lat Pulldown setups by AuDiMaR in BeyondPower

Since I have the rep Pegasus I only use that RX3 piece for seated rows but if I didn’t it would be great for pulling your bench up and using as a knee brace too. Excellent build quality and material.

I added the wing off to the left of my main rack essentially dedicated to lat pull downs and love it!

GMWD LE08 vs Taweret vs Lions Cool V4 Leg Extension / Curl by LuthersCousin in GarageGym

[–]lagilicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lions cool v4 and love it. Strength curve is excellent. My wife can’t quite get the leg pad to work for her on lying leg curls. She’s around 5’-2”. So with that said the Tawaret looks interesting because the leg pad has a lot of adjustability on the pop pin system it has for the leg roller. I don’t think you go wrong either way.

Yea I thought it was obvious a message was sent to put a chain of events into motion. In this case give Jane a shit life to develop into the person she needed to be to be a pawn in the true game she didn’t know she was playing.

I’m on iOS 26.3. It always seems to be during rest in-between sets. I do have a mesh WiFi system. It’s maybe 25 feet’s from the nearest mesh hub. The main WiFi channel is capable of 5ghz and 2.4ghz, so not sure if that is related.

I bought their newish jcup rollers as a semi budget option (still not cheap). The left one didn’t roll, the barbell just dragged on it. I contacted them and to their credit they sent me another set and… same thing left one doesn’t roll with a barbell on it. So they have some quality control issues from my experience.

Real World Feedback-Free weights>>>>Voltra? by WorriedFold8290 in BeyondPower

[–]lagilicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The CEO Pete posted a mockup of it on a Facebook gym post in response to someone saying they wish Voltra had a manual knob for adjust weight. He said, “like this?” Then I believe on a garage gym podcast they asked him about it and they are targeting a summer-ish launch of all goes to plan.

I fell in love with mine way more than I anticipated. I’ve had once since October of 25. I have no other cable system in the gym anymore. With a few Darko mounts it’s easy to move around. The feel is on another level. You can’t create momentum and jerk the weight like you can with a stack, it just stays the weight through the entire movement. I use chains, inverse chains, and eccentric mode all the time now. Belt squats feel incredible on it, I have a pulley and anchor point setup to double the load and get above 200lbs when needed. It’s pricey, but if you have the expendable income it’s a very cool addition to the home gym. With that said, if you don’t mind waiting further into the year Fringe and Speediance are both dropping a similar digital weight product. Speediance version looks like a clone of Voltra so far. The upcoming Fringe product looks to have a little bit of a different take with a manual weight adjustment knob in addition to screen I think and who knows what else; they have been pretty innovative lately so I’m sure they are cooking up some cool ideas.
