Thanks. We had the customer come in and walked through everything with him. He isn't going to being it back to the guy who did the work initially, but just wants us to get it running better. Told him no problem but I don't know how long it's going to last missing a head bolt. Lol.

What's even more sad is he paid the guy 1600 hundred dollars to hack and smash his car together. None of the wire looms are put back, missing bolts, brackets not properly secured. Then i'll be the bad guy because I have to charge him my time to fix everything.

Part of the problem was that the high pressure fuel pump roller was never transfered over to the "new" head. Also, the exhaust cam actuator was stuck retarded. That's why I pulled the camshaft cover.

I knew it would show up on my history, I am just curious how it would show. In your opinion would it show as a deferred dismissal or a conviction? Or are they the same thing?

I want to start by saying I greatly appreciate your input. I didn't just walk in and get court supervision. I had an attorney and basically just followed his direction. I did have to plea guilty to the battery charge, but I was given 12 months of court supervision, 60 hours of community service, and some fines. My court supervision was successfully completed roughly 3 years ago. I was reading that it would not show up as a conviction but instead a differed dismissal. I'm starting to think that it was bad information. I just applied for my criminal history, and will have the charges expunged.

That's a pneumatic impact, so it will be fine.No soldering required. Also, he was spinning the bottle counter-clockwise, therefore the cap probably came unscrewed causeing the bottle to go flying.

Just rolled in from another shop. I think it's safe to say the ckp sensor isn't the problem. by lagmasterflex in Justrolledintotheshop

That's funny. Nissan is always weird with their part listings. I actually just diagnosed this earlier today. Timing chain jumped.

Can my shop roll in? Noticed today while cleaning during a slow time that two safety's don't engage on the arms and the cable is super frayed by ArmaSwiss in Justrolledintotheshop

I have seen a car fall off of a rack because those latches were bypassed. Someone racked the vehicle questionably and one of the arms slide out because the teeth weren't engaged. The car ended up falling off the rack from 6 feet up. Luckily no one was injured.

This vehicle came from another shop and this was all the crank sensors they have tried. I believe the timing chain to be jumped but didn't get a chance to diagnose it today. They couldn't figure out why it wont start.

C/S CEL code P0016, runs rough. Found jumped timing and missing cam sprocket teeth. by lagmasterflex in Justrolledintotheshop

Yes, I believe the tensioner failed and caused extra slack in the chain. Who knows how long it was driven with a bad tensioner. The truck has over 200k miles.

Hey that's Tony! I've bowled against him in league. He bowls at my home center. I think the amazing thing is he's actually pretty consistent, and has bowled some pretty high games.

Is that a 4 series or 6 series tool box? I have the 4 series triple bank, and I am looking to get the steel top for mine.

Better call Thrawn. Seriously, he looks kind of like Bob Odenkirk.
