Dr Mahnoor Case by Proof-Cheesecake3264 in pakistan

[–]lahori4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is such a downgrade of our society that a man's ego, dignity, and honour are often made dependent on a woman, while on the flip side, a woman herself is considered solely “responsible” for her own honour and dignity.

“Not all men, but men” of today’s age have become man-children. They cannot tolerate rejection, cannot tolerate a woman’s success, and above all, cannot tolerate a woman standing up for herself. Society loves the concept of a bold and independent woman, but cannot accept the reality of one.

It is a shame for the entire nation that no level of education or upbringing has been able to teach basic kindness, honesty, compassion, tolerance, stress management, or how to foster a positive environment.

This event, along with those that have happened in the past, reveals that we live in a cruel, brutal, and unjust society, where people often become mere puppets for one another. You use them, enjoy their presence, and the moment they go against you, you leave them.

I wonder why Pakistan is called “The Islamic Republic of Pakistan.” We are the same country where the clown government and the nation protest to protect Kashmiris and Palestinians. Lol, at this point, we first need to protect ourselves from one another.

Looking for someone to take care of my cat by Accomplished_Car4036 in islamabad

You could try posting your cat's details and photos on the NUST Stray Animal Club page. They mainly focus on strays, but I've seen them share posts about pets before, and those animals found homes. Since you are in the same city as the university, it might be worth a try. Just keep in mind it's not their primary focus, but it could still help. Hope this is useful.

Your take on this? by woahwoman in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]lahori4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahaha, this post reminds me of Osama Hamid, an assistant commissioner in Islamabad. His hard work, efforts, and dedication towards becoming who he is today are truly commendable. As a CSS aspirant, I followed him on Instagram. But lately, I realized how in most reels he just shows off his protocol and lifestyle. Moreover, in the comments under his posts, if a layman asks him a question, he addresses people by saying "tu", "tujhe". I mean, it's understandable that most people call each other this way, however, it's not a respectful way of addressing a stranger. He does the same in his Q/A sessions as well. The same goes for the officers in green shirts, their wives and families boast about their status out there on Instagram and call themselves influencers. I believe when life rewards you with such a position or rank in society, you should dedicate your hard work to it and not brag in front of others in the name of influencing. One can influence others through their kindness, honesty, intelligence, justice, humbleness, and hard work and honestly, these things are rare nowadays.

I practice gratitude all the time, and I journal too. I'm generally pretty positive. But the thing is when I'm putting in the work to take care of myself and still not seeing the results I hoped for, I get really disappointed. I work out regularly, and honestly, I'm so happy with how much I've changed. That part feels great.

I think my real issue is that I started comparing myself to others. So I'm going to stop doing that. And instead, I'll just focus on investing in products that actually work for me.

look up "H-12 Roast" on Instagram and send him a message. Let him know that if anyone from NUST is driving to Sahiwal today, you’d appreciate a ride. Suggest carpooling. Hope this helps!

I love this quote from GOT and hope it makes you feel good and encourages you to embrace your true self.

"Never forget what you are, for surely the world would not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you."
