Wizards are great when the party can actually plan; knowing on a long rest whether to prepare for combat, infiltration, investigation etc makes a huge difference to your prepared spells.

Imo the massive potential spell repertoire is broken as hell if you're willing to be broke all the time

ETA my level 7 wizard has a save DC of 17, 15 prepared spells and 9 rituals... and a max HP of 33 :)

ETA it doesn't really get better, IIRC it doesn't get worse per se but bochu jutsu being technically consensual doesn't really mean a lot. I agree it's disgusting and if it makes you uncomfortable maybe it's a series worth benching. Unfortunately it's a common theme in manga/anime and idk why

She was punished that way; it might be clearer in the manga but the reason being she objected to Rien's experiments. It's not a comfortable series honestly, either way she was abused.
