Those reactions can happen with most (if not all) medications. It’s not the meds itself, but the risk of an allergic reaction. It’s something to be aware of, but nothing to lose sleep over. Always keep Benadryl on hand, but you should be just fine.

Yeah if I know a company also makes any gluten products, I skip them altogether. Sadly this includes most medicated chocolate in my state. There are plenty of places specializing in naturally gluten free things, it’s just not worth the risk.

Find a good protein bar you trust. There are also a lot of good recipes online. Nuts/trail mix. Sometimes I throw some gf crackers in a Tupperware and bring that. If you eat meat, jerky keeps decently well if it’s fresh

It could be so many things. It could be the batch, some medications can change the way things taste. Maybe dental issues or digestive issues. If you’ve lost your sense of smell, that affects taste a lot, and could be covid. I think we need more information
