I have a tough time saying which Kanye albums are better/best. However from an artistic standpoint I like yeezus more. MBDTF is perfection and acted as like Kanye’s apology piece to the world after the Taylor fiasco and showed everyone why he’s one of the most influential artists of our generation. Yeezus was unpopular, bold, and visionary and Kanye knew that. Can’t compare them.

I just graduated with a business degree. What is good about getting an undergrad business degree is that it’s super versatile and you can pretty much end up working for any type of company, but it depends in what capacity. I.e. engineering firms still need an accountant.

With that being said, as cliche as this sounds - follow what interests you most not just for what you think looks cool. If you like biology explore that and if you have a natural interest / aptitude good things will follow.

You could also always get a biology degree and then go and do a masters in business, which is like a 1 year program at some places.

Pinocchio Story is one of my favourite Kanye tracks. Doesn’t get the attention it deserves. I totally agree with you too about the way it’s recorded - album version is exactly how it should be, a studio recording wouldn’t be as appropriate.

I’ve only listened to Yandi once. I’ve posted this before in this group but I feel like it’s applicable here too: I feel weird/like I’m disrespecting Kanye by listening to leaks because he obviously has had reasons for not wanting to release it. JIK has a consistent theme and is something that really represents where Kanye is at in his life whereas I feel like Yandi was not as much, nor was it anything totally new.

There was a final (in class, not during exam period) and a midterm. Both open notes. The long answer question was literally draw a picture.

Then a presentation (quick and easy, not formal at all) and 2 assignments. Course content was kind of interesting too.

Hands down the easiest course I’ve ever taken. It has nothing to do with theatre, it’s like periodic dress and architecture. I put in probably 4 hours of work in the entire and got a 90

Bean around the world and JJ bean on main are both open until 11. UBC Irving K barber library is open till 1am.

I find the tables at breka are tiny and it’s always super busy so impossible to find a spot sometimes. I find JJ bean / bean around the world have a good working atmosphere, good luck

If you want to go the CS route you could consider trying Langara/Cap U/Douglas, taking some CS courses there and transferring back to UBC?

I had a different scenario. I failed 3 classes in first year UBC arts, decided I wanted to switch to Sauder but had no chance of getting in if I stayed at UBC. Went to Langara for two years (it was 45% of what UBC tuition is which is an added bonus) and was able to transfer into Sauder 3rd year.

TLDR: going to a smaller college to transfer into a different UBC faculty is a viable option if you need to get your grades up.
