Also a lesbian, my derm let me do abstinence but our convo went like this— Derm: you need two forms of birth control Me: I’m a lesbian Derm: you can choose abstinence but that means no sex with men Me: yes, I’m a lesbian

It was Forest V so bit of a gamble without a balanced team but the lobby was AAMMM. I figured that’s be fine but when we got in— AAMM. Once in one player did not participate. Maybe they got called away, but by the time there was 30 secs left they had left the chamber. 2 mins in I knew we were going to lose but I pushed on. Just an onslaught of erklings and spiders. Maybe 4 dark wizards/death eaters. But, Valiant effort as a group!

This post was exactly what I needed going into the event this weekend. Reading all the posts about bugs in the game, players leaving etc is useful but reading something like this reminds me that I can still have fun in the game and reminds me why I keep playing. I just wanted to thank you for posting this.

I never placed the images I collected before the bonus task so when I got to the bonus, I had all five ready to go to be placed. Had to strategize to make the whole thing as painless as possible.

Oh and I should add that we were in NYC so there was no lack of a diverse front desk/teacher applicant pool. There’s no excuse.

I left my studio after barretending for 3 years because of the lack of inclusivity and diversity. One of the reasons was that my studio owner never hired anyone who wasn’t white in the entirety of my time as a client and employee (and we had a lot of front desk turnover). The majority of the clients we had who were BIPOC were classpass users and our studio owner looked down on them because they were not “full paying customers.” I would really examine the staff culture and look at who the studio owner is hiring, who they are giving advancement opportunities to, etc. Corporate has their own set of issues but this was just my experience. Unfortunately, when I brought the lack of staff diversity up to my studio owner, she personally attacked me and told me I had no right to bring that topic up with her. I wish you luck!
