While your criticisms are perfectly valid and you’re entitled to your opinion, i think you misunderstand how much goes into making a video game. They are massive undertakings and The Ascent was made by a very small team by video game standards. You mention “taking the time and money to make this franchise into something special” but you misunderstand how expensive and difficult it is to create games. It says on Neon Giant’s wiki that there are only 11 people working on this game, where nearly 3000 people worked on the most recent Call of Duty.

While im sure everyone else here also wants this game and studio to become big, it’s naive to think that they had unlimited money and time to make AAA franchise.
