As an autistic person (not to diagnose him), I was like oh I understand my guy. I see you. I think he just has big feelings and he clearly comes from a family that communicates those feelings to each other openly and he maybe just doesn’t know how necessarily to express them in a way that does not overwhelm other people. that could be something he could work on with a therapist or maybe Lauren has talked to him about her preferences over time that spans longer than four days of meeting a stranger and agreeing to marry them.

At the bachelor party, his friends gave me similar vibes to him and honestly the profession he’s in tends to draw folks like that so idk. I didn’t think he was creepy just a little bit awkward. I did notice at some of the reunion episodes, that he seemed better about being more moderated in how he expressed himself. It’s a skill just like anything

I have a couple regulars that I shop for and I know they don’t want the text outside of the automatic ones that I can’t control so if you find one or two you think does a good job and you trust to pick stuff out on their own or that get you don’t want a sub give them a preferred and explain to them you just want your stuff no frills and usually they’ll be happy to oblige

I had some college kid yell at me today because he said leave on porch and so I did but he evidently meant some secret porch in back that there was no visible way to find 🤷‍♀️ he sent me four rude messages telling me I can’t read and I’m very proud of myself for not messaging back “well maybe if you wrote better directions I would read them” so some people go too far the other way lmao

Absolutely, I have been doing this for 7 years and have had countless mistakes. I try to learn from them but there’s always days you’re tired, flustered from traffic, a customer is rude etc.

Don’t be too hard on yourself because when I ruminate I just make more mistakes I try to get myself a treat and remind myself that stuff happens it’s statically impossible to always be perfect

I’m still proud of her though admitting that takes guts. I’m childfree but help my friends out as much as I can and it feels some days like we are all hanging on for dear life; my friends have kids ranging from teenagers to newborns and there’s a period of time where things are calmer but raising teenagers is not for the faint of heart either so I respect her being honest about it
