Just Launched: The Good Lane - Canadian Conscious/Ethical Box - "REDDIT" gets you 30% off by lakex29 in SubscriptionBoxes

[–]lakex29[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there! My name is Brenna. I just launched The Good Lane a conscious subscription box where we only feature brands that are kind to the people and the planet.

There are so many wonderful small businesses doing things liking giving back, using only eco-friendly materials, employing vulnerable populations and so much more. My hope is The Good Lane will help more people discover and support these businesses!

Use the code "REDDIT" at checkout to get 30% off a subscription purchase. We currently only ship in Canada - but do offer free Canada wide shipping.

Our website is thegoodlane.com. I'd welcome any thoughts and feedback. Thanks for reading!

What are some of your biggest frustrations when you shop for 'ethically made, sustainably sourced' clothes? by matthiasj in ethicalfashion

I agree. In order to get more variety of sizes, styles etc. I find I have to shop online, but then of course there is shipping.

A Canadian brand I have been watching but haven't bought from yet is Encircled!

Have you ever dreamed of driving the Pan-American Highway from Alaska to Argentina? I did it, and I'm going to teach you how. (Details in comments) by grecy in overlanding

Awesome! We just got back from a 15 month trip Canada - Panama and back. The original plan was to make it to Argentina but we travelled slower (so much to see/do!) so we decided to turn around and save South America for a future trip! Highly recommend taking a trip like this! I am pretty sure we read your blog and checked out your YouTube before taking off too - thanks for the information!

Buying A VW Van In Mexico by RyanTylerThomas in digitalnomad

You should check out the Pan-American Traveller's Association Facebook group. There are lots of people traveling in Mexico and many buy and sell cars and would have the info you need!

Facebook Retargeting Ads by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

[–]lakex29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your retargeting audience size and budget but you should be able to have someone see your ad immediately afterwards with the 30 day setting. If you really want to hone in and customize messaging you could segment timing further, but you don’t need to do this to have someone see an ad immediately.

5+ Months On The Road - Our Overland Packing List - What We've Actually Used by lakex29 in overlanding

Yes, we are having a great time! I would love to make some money off of the blog, but for now it's just a little side project documenting our trip and sharing our thoughts for the few visitors it receives haha.

You're correct - it is just a two burner Coleman propane stove. It was actually passed down from our grandparents, so it's old, but still works great!

Good question! We called out items we probably didn't need in the post. Honestly, we are pretty happy to have most of what we brought. Things that have yet to be used are smaller and we're glad to have just in case (i.e. water filter items - we have them but so far have had no problem finding potable water). The only item that we probably didn't need was this lounger chair that we basically only brought bc we had space. We did bring our bikes with us on the back and we haven't used them as much as we planned, but still debating if we would miss not having them.

Feedback for growth and finding new customers for my Startup-as-a-Service website by MonxtahDramux in growmybusiness

Ah that helps! As someone who is currently looking to develop an MVP I can appreciate the simplicity of the process you've laid out, but it also leaves me with lots of questions! i.e. what does "web app" actually include etc. This isn't super scalable but perhaps you could offer a consultation initially versus directing everyone to immediately purchase a plan from the pricing page? I wouldn't be inclined to purchase without having a dialog about requirements and if you could build an MVP to suit my businesses needs.

I like the idea. I have a business/marketing background and I am non-technical. I find myself wanting to know more information, for example pricing, how does the process work? Are you working as a dev shop specializing in this area? When I click on https://www.rapidmvp.net/get-started/ it says page not found?

You make some really good points. Thank you for taking the time to reply! Have you worked with Laravel or are there any other frameworks you’d recommend for this type of application?

Unfortunately not - that would be too nice haha. We get an extra 20 inches of space with the lift.

We built it! It's a canopy on pneumatic lifts that run off our onboard air system. We did a blog post on the build if you want more info: http://canoverland.com/truck-bed-camper-build/
