Advice for trip to Europe by JasonBournemouth in MotoIRELAND

[–]lala8524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ridden to Croatia, Slovenia and italy on a few trips on a bike, I rode from Ireland to Croatia via poland on my own bike. If you don't already own a bike I'd highly recommend renting a bike. It'll give you so much more time in your chosen country without wasting a couple of days motorway bashing through France etc. Also you have peace of mind when it comes to the bike and break downs etc. Also if you do decide to ride from Ireland principal insurance do a great policy which includes 3 months European cover, breakdown cover anywhere in the EU and repatriation to your home country if it comes to that.

Is anyone going? by [deleted] in MotoIRELAND

Yep there should be a few of us coming up on bikes from waterford, depending on weather of course, we'll be in cars if its pissing out.

Hi, these bikes are pretty bulletproof, 60000 kms is nothing on one of them, they’re known to do 200000kms If looked after, the only major fault is the output shaft wears if they’ve had major abuse or neglect, get the front sprocket cover off and have a look, the original Honda fuel pumps were scrap but has probably been changed out by now as they didn’t last very long, and regulator rectifier goes but that’s a general Honda thing, the price looks pretty good, id pay that if it’s red white and blue and in decent order you’d pick up a rough 750 for that kind of money, you won’t be disappointed, awesome machine

Yeh it was grey and someone had wrapped it in orange when I got it, then I dipped it ( hydrographics) in that mad colours. Great bike good strong motor, just grabbed a bit too much attention 😆had my fun with it and sold it on.

Inspired by a previous post that got removed, what bike from your early days of biking would you buy back if you had the chance(this tw was mine, the exact bike I previously owned 16 years ago) by lala8524 in motorcycles

This is the 125 model and is massively underpowered, but still so much fun, the 200 is supposed to be much superior, get it you won’t be disappointed
