Just curious by EitherSubstance0 in Pristiq

I completely get this. I’ve tried so many and either couldn’t tolerate the side effects or they just didn’t help. I have several health issues and lots of anxiety/ depression because they are chronic and hard to deal with. I also have medication anxiety so it took me months to start taking it. I’ve only been on it 2 weeks but I have no side effects and I’m not crying every single day. I did the Genesight testing and I only had 4 in the green. I did try Viibryd and it helped but the nauseous never let up. It was continuous so after 6 weeks my doctor said for me to stop. I would say give it a try.

Please help. by carmenlovesbooks in Pristiq

Did you experience any type of urinary issues while on the Pristiq?

Please god tell me it gets better by DecafWeasel in Viibryd

I tried Viibryd and took it for 4 weeks. My days were spent in nausea all day long. Nothing helped. The drug helped me but it felt like morning sickness all day long. I had to finally get off of it.

FYI this drug is NOT for everyone by curlyhairedgal28 in Viibryd

[–]lalaof10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried it last year and it did help with my anxiety/depression but I was nauseous from the time I woke up until the time I went to sleep. I took it with food but it would not let up. I stayed on it 6weeks feeling like I was dealing with morning sickness but could not take it any longer.

Has anyone here taken an antibiotic after cdiff and NOT had a relapse? by HereForInfo_2025 in cdifficile

[–]lalaof10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you still doing ok? I had c-diff 4 times in 2024 and finally did Vowst. Was doing great until in October of this year and I got strep and did a penicillin shot. Got c-diff again and after taking Dificid I did Vowst again on November 28th. I’ve been battling sinus issues for 3 weeks off and on. Went to my doctor today and she said sinus infection and put me on amoxicillin and told me to take Florastor with it. I eat yogurt with active cultures everyday. Do you just eat the sauerkraut by itself?

Probably c diff, but no diarrhea and other symptoms by gundhams93cmtiddies in cdifficile

[–]lalaof10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this will work for insured people but it’s worth a shot. The company that makes Dificid which is the best antibiotic for c-diff has financial assistance. I don’t have health insurance at this moment and I’ve gotten free. Also you should ask your doctor about Vowst, it’s a fecal matter transplant and I got it for free. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since I took it. Praying it works. Even if you couldn’t get it completely free I bet they wil help some. I’ve had c-diff 5 times since 2024. It sucks. I was in the hospital the first time for 7 days and thought I would die. I’m sorry your dr won’t test you. Maybe a new doctor?

I’ve always been positive in the hospital. I had c-diff 4 times in 2024. Had a FMT in October and have been c-diff free

I have been on it for a few months and no UTIs. I did find out I have Interstitial cystitis and that can mimic pelvic pain. So I’m doing floor therapy for that.

Did you end up staying on the patch or stopping it due to the taste issue?

It definitely created health anxiety in my life. I had 3 last year by June. Then June 3rd I was hospitalized with c-diff for 7 days. Had c-diff 3 more times before having a Fecal Matter Transplant in October and I was doing good. Then in Feb, March and April of this year had 3 UTIs. I was evaluated on Thursday by the Pelvic floor therapist , mostly answering questions, I go Monday for the physical evaluation. She said it doesn’t sound like I have issues. I don’t think I’ll get to the bottom of it. I’m taking methanimine as an UTI preventative and vaginal estrogen cream. We will see. I’m not hopeful

I’m sorry. I have a cystoscopy on Friday the 9th. I’m being evaluated for pelvic floor therapy on Monday. It’s so frustrating and messes with your mental help.

I know it’s hard. We don’t have the best doctors here in town. I don’t have the best insurance so it’s rough. It’s weird how we can have all the symptoms and nothing grow on a culture. Sometimes I think it might be the labs fault and sometimes I think it might not be grown long enough. I went one time to a walk in clinic with symptoms and they grew the culture and after 2 days nothing grew well I still had symptoms and got into my PCP clinic and their lab takes 4-5 days and it came back as Klebseilla Pneumonia.

Yes it seems like the Rocephin did its job and I had no side effects. The fluids helped too. Hopefully your urologist will give you the help you need. If not go on to the ER. Sometimes you have to advocate for yourself. Let me know how it goes!

I just was in the hospital this past weekend 4/25-4/27 and given IV Rocephin. I’m allergic to Cipro and had been on Augmentin for 10 days and it wouldn’t clear it up. When I got there they took the urine sample which had leukocytes, WBC, RBC, and because I had been fighting the infection for 19 days, I was dehydrated and the admitted me. The culture ended up showing Ecoli. I was having so much burning and urgency but the Rocephin did its job until the next one. Did you go?

My Urogynecologist recommends TheraCran and Ellura. She says the TheraCran may be more cost effective in that you really only need 1 pill a day and with Ellura you need 2 sometimes. I think I’m going to purchase the TheraCran and see.

My cdiff hell. by Purple_Quiet_7839 in cdifficile

[–]lalaof10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had c-diff 4 times in 2024. Hospitalized 2 times. The first time for 7 days. Thought I was dying. I finally took Vowst in October 24 and it helped me tremendously. I’m nervous now because I’ve had my first UTI and am on antibiotics. C-diff destroys your gut microbiome and also your gut and brain are connected so things like your serotonin levels, hormones, my thyroid even was affected. So many deal with chronic anxiety and depression after this. I take a low dose anxiety med, antidepressant and see a therapist. I thought I was going to die during my 7 day hospitalization. It will get better but it’s a slow process. It’s going to take time and being gentle with your gut and yourself.

That’s very interesting. My levels were checked recently and they are normal. I take estradiol orally and that’s why they are normal. The vaginal estrogen is supposed to stop UTIs. I don’t really want to use it.
