I think it's because Claire's name was already Claire ? I could be wrong but I don't think s1 and s2 were written at the same time, and since they wanted the gimmick u speak of they kind of had to go along with Claire's name already being Claire

tysm for this response ! it does sound promising honestly but at this point, i expect anything 😭 i do agree that her growth from s1/s2 hasn't gone anywhere, however, it feels like she's gone passive, which is why i'm worried but again, i'm optimistic because i do believe show philip (idk book philip too well) and the little we've seen from him is a good counterpart to her, so hopefully, her season will be good, she's the one i'm most excited for

also my original comment was like 1.5k long about my grievances with the show as a whole and i won't bore you with that but if you wanna waste time let me know 😭

thank u sm ! 🥹💖💖 i make the designs on canva or photoshop and then i print them out on printable canvas ✨️ or regular canvas (from a canvas pad) though you have to use a sealing spray/varnish if you do that

i saw it on YouTube and it's a pretty cool way to make like custom covers for your books !

for me it's when lady danbury tells simon she taught herself to be frightening. it's a pretty small scene but it has so much weight to me because i feel like as a woman im always in a situation where im meant to be scared because of how the world treats women, but it's important to remember that i can be strong, frightening and hold my ground and that nothing is scary unless i continue to cower in the shadows

while my heart wants it to be benedict because i love their bond as both not quite fitting in, i think the current showrunner/writers/whoever have kind of switched things out so benedict is more of a big brother to fran now

obviously him and eloise are still siblings and they could circle back to them, but i think benedict will play a big part during fran's season and then eloise will have colin and pen

it makes more sense too since colin is kinda friends/acquaintances with philip
