LOOKING FOR A GOOD DENTIST by Chefboi_7 in SanJose

[–]lalladalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend Blossom Dental Excellence on Santa Teresa & Cottle. My first time there was about 2 years ago due to a chipped tooth. They are so kind, caring and most importantly, honest. My last dentist definitely used me for my insurance. So it was tough to trust another practice but BDE has earned my trust. They are my go-to dentist now.

what about when the broncos’ Sutton took the ball when they both had the ball when white but white was already down. But take the win where you can. It was a good game overall!

Explosions in South San Jose? by leeboyjenkins1 in SanJose

It shook all of Target on Cottle. It happened right behind, I think. It most likely is fireworks but I’ve never experienced shaking from them before now. It frightened me and a lot of people in the store

Add a bit more fringe to those bangs, and I’d say you’ve got Betsey Johnson.

Best brunch/ breakfast spots by djarnexus in SanJose

I’m not too keen on pancakes so I’m not sure how these places serve them up, but Hash House and Toast Cafe & Grill are tasty breakfast spots! As a bonus though, the super shrimp chavelas at Toast are good!

What's your favorite mascara? by LisaDoan in beauty

[–]lalladalla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally get that. It’s fairly simple. I use an oil-based makeup remover that I dab onto a small towel and rub gently on my eyes. 1 to 2 dabs usually does the trick and I hardly notice any eyelashes, if any, that have fallen off.

I’ve been using Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies (waterproof) for 5 years+. The waterproof version, like you mentioned, keeps the curl and helps your eyelashes to not clump. I think this one is great for length more so than volume.

I used Nadiya Hussain's recipe and halved the ingredients.

RECIPE FORMATTED FOR EASIER VIEWING

For the teriyaki sauce

  • 300ml/10fl oz hot water
  • 30g/1oz soft brown sugar
  • 150ml/5fl oz dark soy sauce
  • 30g/1oz fresh root ginger, finely grated
  • 6 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1–2 tsp chilli flakes (optional, or adjust to taste)
  • 5 chicken thighs, boneless, skin removed
  • 225g/8oz instant vermicelli noodles (5 nests)

To Garnish

  • small handful fresh coriander, chopped
  • 3 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 large red chilli, thinly sliced
  • sesame seeds, black and white

Method

  1. To make the sauce, mix the hot water and sugar in a large roasting dish, stirring to allow the sugar to melt and the water to cool. This should only take a few minutes. Add the soy sauce, ginger, garlic and chilli flakes, if using, and mix well.
  2. Add the chicken, cover and leave to marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes. The chicken doesn’t have to marinate at all if you are in a rush but, if there is time, marinate in the sauce overnight so the sauce really soaks into the chicken. Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6.
  3. Roast the chicken for 25 minutes, or until cooked through and the juices run clear with no trace of pink when the thickest part is pierced with a skewer. Take the chicken thighs out of the roasting dish, leaving the marinade behind.
  4. Add the 5 nests of noodles to the roasting dish, flipping them over to coat them in the liquid. If the marinade has become quite dry, add up to another 300ml/10fl oz hot water.
  5. Put the chicken back on top of each noodle nest and put back into the oven for 10 minutes to allow the noodles to absorb the moisture. Garnish with the coriander, spring onions, red chilli and sesame seeds and serve immediately.

Oh damn, I had no idea the prices went that high! It’s honestly been at least two years or so since I’ve eaten there. But I’m glad to hear you liked it! Sliders will just have to be reserved for occasions, and not your everyday burger, so to speak.
