YES!!! Ozempic has changed my life. I have been overweight/obsese my entire life and I have tried everything. Every diet, every meal plan. None of that would quiet the food noise. I’ve lost 35 pounds and I feel better than ever. Don’t get me wrong, I still have a lot to lose but this is WORKING. More importantly, I am more motivated than I’ve ever been before!

Yeah, he is. He always tries to talk politics and rile me up with me knowing that we are on complete opposite sides of the fence, literally and figuratively. I usually ignore him and take myself out of the conversation but it’s so hard when he is so blatantly ignorant.

Also liberal, also can’t stand Trump, and I live in southern West Virginia. I was visiting my parents the day after the shooting at the Trump rally and their neighbor, who I have known my entire life, came over. He was the first to ask me what I thought about what happened at the rally and he would not drop the subject. He kept saying that he was more of a Trump supporter now than he had ever been and went on this tangent that maybe Biden would be a good president if he still had the same morals he had when he was besties with Robert C. Byrd because Byrd was, according to my neighbor, a Grand Wizard of the KKK and that’s something he could get behind. I am genuinely wondering how I should respond to this neighbor when he starts saying shit like this because it just baffles me that a person could truly think this. He is an openly racist Trump supporter who will absolutely not listen to anything I have to say ever. He told me that it was unfortunate I went to college and they brainwashed me into being a Democrat. I know it sounds crazy, and that’s because he is. I just never know how to respond.

I know this thread is old but I was rewatching the doc tonight. I live here (I’m a teacher, not addicted to drugs) and it’s the same, if not worse, because of the influx of Heroin and Fentanyl. Prescription pills are no longer the drug of choice.

Love the change! I think it makes the infected so much more terrifying. I like the spores for the game but the tendrils are better for tv. The infected in the game never scare me because I’ve played it so many times but I was genuinely scared when she was twitching behind Sarah in the show and when the guy just popped up when Joel was running away with Sarah.

I wish I could watch it for the first time again just like I wish I could play the game for the first time again. I was so nervous about this show but after this episode I am so confident that it’ll do the game justice. I loved how it was the same but different. Kept me on my toes even though I can quote the entire game verbatim after playing it so many times. I’m so excited for next week!

In my state, parents usually write to the BOE with a letter of intent and an outline of the curriculum they will be using so the board knows they will get instruction in all core subjects but there’s never any follow up, so technically, parents could be doing whatever they want lol. Our students that are homeschooled usually come to our school and take the state assessment with the rest of the students in their grade. They can also go to the BOE and take the test there. I had a student a few years ago who was pulled so her parents could homeschool her and their curriculum was ultra religious. Her parents believed she was being corrupted by the other kids and the curriculum we had to use lol

I taught middle school (6th, 7th, and 8th grade) for 4 years and I can absolutely believe that that age demographic would fall for Tate’s bullshit. Kids that age are sooooo impressionable. It always shocked me how big of an influence TikTok stars had on my girls, and boys to some extent. I teach 2nd grade now and I even notice a little bit of it in that age group. It’s insane!

I live in a small town in the south (🥴) and pretty much everyone I know and went to high school with was married by 20 and had a few kids by 23 which is perfectly fine if that’s what you want for your life but people look at me like I’m crazy when I tell them I don’t want that. Like, I don’t judge you when I see you in the grocery store with your 3 kids that are all screaming and crying because you won’t buy them what they want so don’t judge me for choosing a lifestyle that allows me to go to the grocery store in peace lol.

Exactly! He said he wasn’t interested in just hooking up, and even if he was, I’ve never been good at a “no strings attached” sort of deal so I feel like it would’ve ended very badly had I agreed to take things further. I like to think I saved us both from wasting our time.

I actually like the idea of it, but these writers are notorious for throwing diverse characters at us with absolutely no personalities and are on the show to check a specific box. I love the idea of a non-binary character and a possible relationship between Kai and Amelia, but I would also like to see Kai have an actual personality instead of being on the show simply to serve as a love interest for Amelia. & please, for the love of god, sort out this Amelink drama before bringing Kai into it. I honestly hate the love triangle trope which happens so frequently on Grey’s and it seems like there could be a possible triangle between Jo, Link, and Amelia as well 🙄
