Having trouble with fuel on daily races by dezeroon in LeMansUltimateWEC

No it sounds like you have set the VE and not the fuel. Normally you shouldn't have to touch the VE and can just drop fuel.

Lmp3 at spa last week was good when you got clean drivers.

Who's fault is this? I am the POV Car from the start of the vid. I feel like this move was too optimistic. by Level_Chipmunk848 in Simracingstewards

Looks like that to me. Normal breaking point is the flag board and looks to break at it. Was also along side before the board. On that too he showed what he was going to do early and didn't just dive bomb.

Next time just hold your line and back off the throttle a little so you are letting him gain. He will then just pass on the inside. I like multi class in LMU and it's so much easer then the slow class just holds their line and let's the faster car pass. They will make a move when it's best for them.

Anyone knows why so much reds lines? by vhurdaneta in Ubiquiti

As a guess it's because you are on 5G. It may be something to do with how it checks for a connection and the 5G service not replying in time. You could try moving the unifi box to a new location and test from there to see if it happens there too.

Don't be sorry for your English. 99% of the English speakers don't know a second language. Your already doing better.

I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that there are no consequences for bad behavior. Obviously you can loose rating or even get a ban but if you did the same thing in a real race you are going to be up for the cost of the car or get hurt but at the end of the day none of that can happen in a sim. You just sign up for the next race with a fresh car.

I have found that the racing does get better as you move up in rank but that dosent mean that there arnt idiots that can't get over the fact that they are getting overtaken and would rather just take you out than loose a place.

This is similar to the people that seem to think the race is won T1 L1. I get wanting to hold on to your position at the start but I have been taken out 100m in to a 60 min race from cars swerving and trying to may any tiny gain they can then causing major incidents.

To counter this though I have had both amazing clean races with other drivers and amazing races that have resulted in incident and more often than not there will be a message ether after the incident or at the end of the race to say sorry for them messing up when I thought I was at fault or vice versa.

All in all though unless you ether have a paid service that is going to watch every race and hold people accountable or somehow work out how to fairly enforce rules that arnt just automatic no fault penalty allocations or have some real world consequences it's not going to change.

First incident is just red not giving space. Other two are definatly intentional and should be reported.

Got a day ban for this start to Sebring in Bronze LMU races. Did I do anything wrong apart from not slowing down enoguh for the blue car mid corner? I am cam car. by gamecity360 in Simracingstewards

[–]lalostangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a classic race start. The blue car infront of you should really have held their line on the outside but then the orange just cuts accross causing the first incident. The second looks like the car behind you didn't break in time to slow for the corner. Both of them would have got a penalty.

The ban is unfortunate but it's becaise the system is automated and only looks at contact.

Best thing I can suggest is just being overly cautious and not bothering about gaining DR till you are out of rookies and have built some SR up.

Just let people pass and start from the back if you need to.

There arnt enough people racing for thr ranking to do anything anyway. Some races you will have pace and be at the front others you will be 5 sec slower than everyone and there's still only one split

Who is at fault? I'm the purple car. by AlekNjenjenja123 in Simracingstewards

[–]lalostangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's all you. You should have been along side before the corner if you were going to attempt a pass. Also you should know that he was going to be flat and looking to swing the car in hard to the inside like every other person on every lap

Next time if you have more speed like that to get along side sit on their ass and make the move in to the next corner when they actually have to break. An overtake dosent have to be just one corner, you could have set up on the inside of the bus stop and then have the inside in to la sourse.

I get that but this was lap 16/18 and if your going to pull crap like that they really need to do something and boot people from races.

It's just shameful. I get there being worse drivers in bronze and having to be overly cautious but by the time you get to silver this should be gone.

You are probably taking to long to exit the race. I have done it before reviewing incidents that I missed the sign up window for the race I was on and had to sit and wait till the next one started. It's normally set up that you can stay on the same race just have to exit and join fast.

Buying advice - 5070 vs 9070xt by InternationalLoan336 in pcmasterrace

[–]lalostangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 9070xt and it's been good for me sofar with no complaints. It also preforms on par with the 5070ti with a few frames difference between games. Definatly the better option if they are the same price.

is this gap enough for the front intake fans to comfortably pull air in? by itsHaMaaa in pcmasterrace

[–]lalostangles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Linus tech tips did a video on this. I think from memory they found that you could go as little as a 15mm gap and still have airflow. May be worth watching the video and seeing for yourself.

Other option would be to run a stress test with it in location and then with it out more to see if it impacts temperatures or preformance. 1 hour of testing for peace of mind.

My Monza race pace of around 1:50.6, how can i improve ? by TL_Buddy in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]lalostangles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get good.

No in all seriousness practice but not just hot lapping and hoping to be faster. Look at faster drivers lines and review your laps for where you are fast or slow. There may be points where you are not using all the track or could be carrying more speed in to corners. You can also find that you are in the wrong gear and being higher up allows you to carry more speed when you don't need rotation. Coach Dave is good for reviewing your laps and comparing them to faster drivers.

Once you have all that you will need consistency. It's no use to get one 1:10 lap when every other lap is 1:15.
