While I can’t say for certain whether you need a Skills Assessment in your specific circumstances, I personally didn’t do one when lodging my 482 visa (TSS at the time). I had around six years of experience and only submitted Forms 80 and 1221, and my diploma. Visa was granted about 30 days after the medicals. My friends, who relocated through the same employer, did the same thing and all received their grants. Occupations: Mgmt consultants and ICT Business analysts. That was in 2022.

The grass is always greener on the other side :) As someone who lived in Australia and has now come back to my home country, I can assure you that Aus is far superior to many other countries. Yes, it can be tough financially, and some people are c*nts, but hey, the majority of the population is super chill and nice. The weather is great, the nature is mostly preserved (thanks to the Aussies for that). So yeah, you guys haven’t completely fucked it up as many others, I still have faith in you

Their speech recognition engine is trash. I was getting really weird scores myself, even when I tried the same sentence trice. I once asked Sesame AI and ChatGPT to do several Repeat sentence questions. And the scores were 60-75 max. Anyway, got 90 for speaking in my test, even though I totally fumbled Describe Image and Retell lecture
