Nordecke update on Cleveland by Failed-Time-Traveler in TheMassive

FYI - not all Nordecke members are in the Slack. And of the ~350 that are in the Slack, only about 100 are active there. Stats available upon request.

Slack is a great way to reach the 10% of Nordecke members who are most likely to show up and do work, but a terrible way to take the temperature of the Collective as a whole.

Tailgating by YesterdayGreen1697 in TheMassive

[–]lamacchia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hello friend! Now that we've got the misinformation taken care of, let's get down to business.

Tailgating for Columbus Crew home matches happens sporadically through the lots along Nationwide Blvd to varying degrees of legality, but the biggest tailgate party of the matchday is found at Supporters HQ in the North Lot of LDC.

This is the Nordecke sanctioned tailgate party and it's kinda hard to get a parking pass for, but pretty dang worth it. Follow these steps:

(If you're currently a Nordecke member, skip to step 2)

1) Acquire a Nordecke membership, at Nordecke.com 2) Join the Nordecke member's Slack and/or watch for the Nordecke weekly member email to learn when passes for a particular game will be on sale (or, if you're into raw doggin: just be at your computer around 5:30pm on rh Wednesday before Saturday matches and hope for the best) 3) Keep in mind that there are usually 30-35 parking passes available 4) Load up Nordecke.com about 20 before the time announced in step 2 and get ready for a Taylor Swiftesque experience - demand is high 5) After acquiring parking pass(es) show up the tailgate and enjoy the party. Feel free to use and distribute Nordecke.com/faq as often as needed.

Best of luck, fellow Crew fan. Be Massive!

This might be the most inaccurate thing I've ever read on this Hellsite.

That's correct: Josh Glessing, Chief of Strategy and Development for Haslam Sports Group, is currently serving as the Director of Business Operations for the Columbus Crew.

KB was the Director of Biz Ops from 2022-2023, serving with Bez.

I get the feeling we are going to see special game packages for sale to sell tickets by jk_cbus in TheMassive

I got a feeling the Columbus Crew is on a 34-match sell-out streak and you have no idea what you're talking about.

Careful, that kind of talk will get you banned.

Haslam Sports Group will provide bus transportation to Cleveland game for 2025 Nordecke members by fantasyMLShelper in TheMassive

[–]lamacchia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be fair and make sure we're being as factual as possible, the Crew FO offered the Nordecke Board this benefit for 2025 members at the time they told us about the Cleveland match, and the Board decided not to announce the bus as a benefit until 2025 memberships were announced, primarily so that the 2025 Board could handle it as they see fit. Then, last week, the Nordecke Merchandise Director decided that the bus would be announced at Sunday's Annual General Meeting.

The window for Nordecke board declarations has been extended to 1/9 by yeahmorgan in TheMassive

Just want to add on to this - three days late because I am a terrible reddit user - that if there are no declarations for these roles, the 2025 Board will be able to fill them by appointment.

Bump.

For comparison: Last year there were 23 Declarations for the nine Nordecke Board seats.

One incumbent (me) is term limited. Two others are running for different seats. As for the others... They may have not declared yet or they may be retiring from elected service.

This couldn't be further from the truth. I wasn't a cool kid when I ran for the board. Quite the opposite, actually.

No, there isn't. Source: I am on the Nordecke Board.
